I finished reading his book awhile back and he admitted to having a lot of affairs on the road while he was married. He felt shameless when talking about them too(once saying "I forgave myself as usual").
I can't believe someone as honorable as Bret seemed to be is in actuality a sleazeball! Or was one. Bret is still one of my favorite wrestlers in terms of workrate, but I look at him in a different way now as a person after reading his book. Does anybody else feel differently about Bret after reading his book?

It's not sold in any US stores right now, but you can get at highspots.com. It was good book, but I hate it when I find out that guys I looked up to cheat on the mother of their children!

Who didn't know this? Shawn Michaels called him out on TV about banging Sunny. I'm still convinced after finding out Sunny was with Shawn for nearly 6 months that she was the reason the two of them hated each other.

I agree. Austin was well known for this as well, and Batista recently too. Wrestlers lived fast-paced, exciting lifestyles and sometimes don't know the limits, and fail to draw the line between the moral and the immoral. This is certainly not an excuse though.
I've come to realize that when it comes to wrestlers, they are nice to fans and co-workers, but often times terrible to their own families. It's like they are "autistic entertainers," failing to get out of their "world" (wrestling, which includes co-workers and fans) and enter the real world when at home (consisting of family). The worse case of this was clearly a certain Canadian madman, and I'm not talking about Bret.

Hah, i just finished the whole book 2 weeks ago. And it seems to me all he talked about was leaving his wife a million times, taking steroids in the but from Asians and hitting on foreign girls.

Bret's excuse was that he felt lonely on the road and while other guys were addicted to drugs and alcohol, he was addicted to women. See it doesn't surprise me that a meathead like Batista cheated on his wife, but I always thought Bret was a smart and dignified man. I don't care how big a fan of Bret you are, you got to admit he was no saint!

The bad thing about it is that Bret just seems to write it off as normal. As if there's nothing really wrong with it, it's just the way he is.

Definitely not cool but I'm sure 99% of them are cheaters. You can get pretty much anyone you want. When you're on the road for so long, women begin to look like money to a poor man.

I respect wrestlers for whta they do in the ring not out of the ring. It's their lives let them live it.

Couldnt careless. What he does in his time off is nothing to do with me. Still like him as an entertainer.

Does his book cover the time all the way up to the Hall of Fame 07, or does it cut off before that?
