Is The Undertaker the longest reigning active veteren in the WWE at the minute? With Flair now retired, is 'Taker the true in ring vetern? I'm not sure when Shawn Michaels made his WWE debut, was it before or after the Undertaker?

I believe HBK make his debut before Undertaker, so that would make HBK longest reigning active veteren

I think Shawn was in there earlier than Undertaker since he was there when he was part of the Rockers. I'm not sure though.

I'd say Taker has been there the longest without taking any kind of extended leave (not counting injuries).

Shawn Michaels is currently the longest-tenured continuously-contracted wrestler. He has been under contract in some fashion ever since 1988.

Yeah, he wrestled in WM5 I think, and Taker made his WM debut at WM7

What about Hacksaw & Finlay, do they count or not? I wasn't really counting them because they haven't been with the WWE through and through. Both have had stints elsewhere.

HBK made his debut in 87 or 88. Taker didn't show up until the Survivor Series before Wrestlemania 7 whereas HBK was in a match against Bossman & Akeem @ WM 5, but I remember him being in the fed already that previous Survivor Series.

Always has been the longest active wrestler on the roster, sure Michaels debuted before him, but Michaels has been on again off again, Taker has been here the whole way through, only taking minimal time off for injuries

I bet if you count all the time Undertaker has taken off, it will just about = the time Shawn has.

I bet if you count all the time Undertaker has taken off, it will just about = the time Shawn has. Yeah, plus in 2000 HBK made regular appearances, not to mention is stint as Corporate-Commish in 1998/1999
