Last night's edition of Raw did a 3.9 cable rating. It was up a half point from last week but you would think that after the biggest PPV of the year they could at least break a 4. The show did hours of 3.77 and 4.05.

As I broke last night exclusively on my PWInsider.com Elite Hotline news update, Dusty Rhodes has left his position on the WWE creative team to head up working on the creative end of WWE's developmental system.
Rhodes will be responsible for character development and for scripting the weekly Florida Championship Wrestling TV show when it debuts on Tampa's CW network affiliate, similar to the position held by Jim Cornette and Paul Heyman during their tenures with Ohio Valley Wrestling. FCW, run by Steve Keirn and Tom Prichard, is currently WWE's only developmental territory.
The move was seen as a good fit for Rhodes as it would keep him from having to travel on the road with the WWE creative team on a regular basis, put him back in his old stomping grounds of Florida and help him create a new crop of stars by meshing his own creative skills with knowledge of what WWE management wants by virtue of his creative team run. Rhodes had most recently been working on the ECW brand, which showed a marked improvement under his watch.
Developmental talents were informed recently of Rhodes' move. Rhodes' new responsibilities are why he wasn't at Raw last night to take part in the Ric Flair retirement ceremony.

Ric Flair isn't backstage at tonight's Smackdown/ECW taping.
For those wondering why Arn Anderson wasn't the one inducting Ric Flair into the WWE Hall of Fame over the weekend, the answer is simple - Flair requested that it be Triple H. During his acceptance speech, Flair spoke for some time about his friendship with Arn, which sadly was edited off the USA Network broadcast of the Hall of Fame ceremonies. The complete ceremony will be part of the 3 DVD version of the Wrestlemania XXIV DVD set.
I am told that the Ric Flair commemorative T-shirts that were sold at the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony and Wrestlemania XXIV will be released online via the WWE website. The shirts were really nice, listing all of Flair's world title victories on the back. UPDATE: It has popped up at THIS LINK.
We will be running a Tournament Poll, starting later this week, where we will attempt to select the greatest match in the career of Ric Flair. Send your nomination (please, only one match per email) to PWInsiderBuck@aol.com. If possible, please include the date of the match you are nominating. Here are the matches that have been nominated so far:
- January 20, 1987 - Ric Flair vs. Barry Windham - Time Limit Draw, World Wide Wrestling.
- March 27, 1988 - Ric Flair vs. Sting - Time Limit Draw, Clash Of The Champions I.
- April 2, 1989 - Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat - Two Out Of Three Falls, Clash Of The Champions VI.
- May 17, 1989 - Ric Flair vs. Ricky Steamboat - WrestleWar.
- November 15, 1989 - Ric Flair vs. Terry Funk - I Quit Match, Clash Of The Champions IX.
- July 23, 1989 - Ric Flair vs. Terry Funk - Great American Bash.
- March 21, 1991 - Ric Flair vs. Tatsumi Fujinami - Tokyo Dome.
- November 30, 1991 - Ric Flair vs. Hulk Hogan - Madison Square Garden.
- January 19, 1992 - Ric Flair win the Royal Rumble.
- April 5, 1992 - Ric Flair vs. Randy Savage - Wrestlemania VIII.
- December 27, 1993 - Ric Flair vs. Vader - Starrcade.
- May 19, 2003 - Ric Flair vs. Triple H - Raw.

Channel 13 WMAZ in Georgia has coverage of Hardbody Harrison's life sentence to prison at this link. Thanks to Dave Whitaker for sending it along.
Mick Foley's Hardcore Diaries, his third autobiography, was released on paperback today. This was the book where Foley recounted his experiences building the ECW One Night Stand 2006 tag match where he and Edge faced Tommy Dreamer and Terry Funk in what I believe looks to be Funk's last wrestling match on a national scale. Foley's previous paperback releases have featured additional material, but I haven't heard if this paperback will follow that trend.
Although he hasn't been seen on television in some time, there is a Boogeyman teddy bear coming out, so that could be a sign he's on his way back. Kane vs. Boogey for the ECW title anyone? Boogey has been out with a torn calf.
Greg Price's excellent NWA Legends Fanfest in Charlotte, NC announced over the weekend that former WWWF champion Ivan Koloff would be among the stars honored this August at their Hall of Heroes dinner banquet. For more information, visit www.NWALegends.com.
