Over the weekend the story broke that TNA Wrestling was planning on flying a plane over the Citrus Bowl during WrestleMania to promote TNA iMPACT! The stunt never happened and word has come out that it was World Wrestling Entertaiment that prevented it from happening.
WWE officials reportedly heard the news, tracked down the company TNA hired to fly the plane and somehow convinced them not to take off. The company in question is said to have told TNA they couldn't take off due to the weather. Of course, several other planes promoted businesses overhead during Mania, including a local realtor and a "gentleman's club". TNA management was said to be very angry over the foiled plan.
Last night at the Amway Arena (the site of WWE RAW), TNA Wrestling had a truck with large TV screens showing TNA footage. WWE had them thrown out - the driver was given a refund of his parking fee and was ejected from the parking lot.
I'm a big TNA fan, or I was until they became a crappy WWE clone, but this just makes them look pathetic. Every single move they made during WrestleMania weekend was wrong. Especially sending their wrestlers out to WWE autograph sessions to tell them to watch TNA and putting Robbie whatever on TV. I had stopped watching TNA a few months back (leaving me with only lucha libre for my wrestling fix) and I was contemplating watching again, but after this I don't think I am going to. I'm done with TNA.

IMO, their roster is superior to all three of the WWE's roster, but their writers are just as bad (if not worse) as WWE's writers and the people running the company have no idea what they are doing.

No doubt, they have a great roster. But the booking is terrible and most of their guys can't act to save their lives. And yes i know i have Benjamin in my sig.

Uh, "Especially sending their wrestlers out to WWE autograph sessions to tell them to watch TNA " what are you talking about? TNA didn't send them over there. They went on their own. Earl Hebner, Team 3D and AJ Styles are the only ones who went to the axxess thing. Hebner/3D just ewnt to see friends. Styles is good friends with Kennedy. So, I'm pretty sure he went over to catch up with him not to go "Oh, watch our product". The only thing TNA did "wrong" was to put Robbie on TV.

TNA sucks, and they did go over there to promote TNA. I'm guessing you also believe TNA was gonna fly a plane over just so Jeff Jarrett can get a good view of the MITB match Quit with the excuses, TNA is horrible. And I ask, because you never answered, who will you be defending if/when TNA goes out of buisness?

tna puts on a C level show on at best. As for the person who says they have a better roster than wwe your kidding yourself. TNA really only has a few guys who are worth a damn, AJ Styles, Christian Cage, Petey Williams, just to name a few.

Gotta give benjamin some credit, he has been getting better. Progressively. BTW, Sodaguy, kickass signature.

I don't agree with showing Robbie on Tv, then again, he put himself in that position. As for the advertising, think about this. You have the biggest wrestling show of the year in your main city. Fans from all over the world are going to show up for it, people who don't even watch wrestling on a regular basis are going. Well, if your TNA, why not advertise your self like crazy? At least get people to know you exist, and maybe get them to watch an Impact show or get some web hits. Do I agree with how TNA advertise? probably not, but I mean c'mon, why wouldn't you do something to get attention? I understand why TNA did it, just not how

I'm not even going to bother to argue because it's a waste of time because everyone wants to jump the gun on simple crap. So, forget it. The didn't fly the plane over 'Mania (which we've known) because WWE paid the company off which is a good thing because it was stupid idea.

As for the person who says they have a better roster than wwe your kidding yourself. TNA really only has a few guys who are worth a damn, AJ Styles, Christian Cage, Petey Williams, just to name a few. I disagree. Virtually everyone in TNA is capable of putting on amazing matches, whereas 90% of the WWE roster is terrible. The wrestling, for the most part, has been terrible for years. I don't agree with showing Robbie on Tv, then again, he put himself in that position. As for the advertising, think about this. You have the biggest wrestling show of the year in your main city. Do I agree with how TNA advertise? probably not, but I mean c'mon, why wouldn't you do something to get attention? I understand why TNA did it, just not how I don't care what Robbie did, putting him on TV was a very classless move. By disobeying his boss and attending their show, he was showing his support of TNA and they put his job (and probably his partner's job too) in jeopardy. There's no excuse for that. I never once said that TNA shouldn't had advertised themselves. I said that I don't agree with they ways they chose to go about it. I'm not even going to bother to argue because it's a waste of time because everyone wants to jump the gun on simple ****. So, forget it. The didn't fly the plane over 'Mania (which we've known) because WWE paid the company off which is a good thing because it was stupid idea. I would have been a brilliant idea if they could have kept it quiet and gotten their banner shown on the PPV. Of course there probably would have been a law suit coming shortly after, so I guess it's for the best.

The WWE realizes this and focuses on putting on matches that are entertaining to wide variety of people, not just a handful of diehards.
