I remember Shamrock leaving to go back to mma after this, but I forgot how he was written out of the WWE.

I think he was written out after Jericho (wearing hockey gear) splashed him from the top rope, causing internal injuries, if I remember correctly. X-Pac would replace Shamrock against Jericho at Unforgiven 99.
P.S. Thanks so much for posting that link, I haven't seen anything from this fued since it aired.

Yeah, thanks for providing that information. I stumbled upon that video and it was a complete blur to me on how Shamrock left.
