Who REALLY doesn't care about Undertaker's streak?
I mean here is a guy who is a HUGE star in his own right however people are acting like if he didn't have the streak, he wouldn't be quite the legend he is. I'm thinking the guy has outgrown the streak... ESPECIALLY at his age
It bothers me because I really want to see the streak end. If anyone is to end it, it should have been Edge. Edge is fastly proving himself to be THE top heel in the business and one of the WWE's top stars for the next several years. What better way to cement Edge's status as the biggest, the best heel in the industry than having him triumph over The Undertaker.
Now it's gotten to the point where I dread watching Undertaker's matches at Mania because you just know he's going to win. However last night I held out all hope that Edge would win... The WWE would make a smart decision and let Edge end the Deadman's Streak... But no.
And as for the Undertaker being champion, it makes me sick that they are so persistent on giving this guy another title run. I mean, he won it last year at Wrestlemania and then he got hurt... What is going to be so different this time? Undertaker is one of the more injury prone wrestlers.
The one thing that bothers me THE MOST is the fact that Edge can't pull out a decent title run... One the length of a Triple H or a John Cena... As I said, the man is the biggest and best heel in the business today and the WWE is just starting to realize that... this last reign of like 4 months was his longest... Give the man time with the title, have the series of FANTASTIC matches everyone knows he can have...

No, please... do elaborate... I am intrigued to see if someone can muster an intelligent answer as to why the Wrestlemania streak seems to be 10 times bigger than The Undertaker himself and about 20 times bigger than Wrestlemania... It's just I don't see it as something that "can never end" because I want it to end... It would literally skyrocket the person who beats Taker and if built up correctly, I would be 100% for the idea of Taker's streak ending... we all gotta lose sometime...

You're not alone. Quite a few people thought it should end last night. I disagree and all I can say to them people is screw you, 16 - 0!

I think it means more than most of the WWE's Championships, to be honest.

The streak is something that is unique to the undertaker. Nobody else for at least 17 years could surpass it so its not likely something that could ever be done again.
Its like flair being a 16 time champion its takers thing to take with him into the hall of fame when he eventually gets inducted

I think the fact that The Undertaker is one of the most recognized superstars, one of the most dominant superstars in the WWE's history. He's a 6 Time World Champion... I'm pretty sure that is accomplishment enough... The Streak doesn't really mean anything... especially when he can lose on like every other PPV for the title but yet for one night of the year he is guaranteed a victory.

Undertaker is maybe 2 years away from retiring. Edge could go another 10 years yet. Undertakers thing is the undefeated streak. Edge will go down as a great but just not for an undefeated streak its no big deal get over it. For undertaker to loose his wrestlemania streak before he retires would mean a waste of the last 16 wrestlemania wins. Let him take it into retirement with him and im sure in the future another guy may come along who has a streak just as good if not longer.

I have no problem with the streak, but I wish he wouldn't keep winning the title. He's beyond it. He doesn't need it.

Explain to me how it would be a waste of his last 16 Wrestlemania wins? I mean he dominated Wrestlemania for SIXTEEN YEARS and then some HUGE star who is going to represent the next 16 years of Wrestlemania comes along and plays the trump card. Undertaker is STILL huge because he dominated Wrestlemania for an unprecidented 16 years however this young dog played the trump card and holds all of the odds in his favor. He's THE one who ended Taker's legendary streak... The streak will still be legendary. He went 16 Wrestlemania's and all without being defeated... 16-1 is still VERY impressive...

I really don't care about his streak. I don't find it to be anything special anymore. Edge going over last night would have been incredible. It was pretty much the closest they've made anyone come to being a threat to the streak. After last night, I'll never really ever look forward to an Undertaker match at Wrestlemania again. I was looking forward to this one because of the idea of Edge winning. They'll never be able to tease that the streak could end like they did last night. So it's pretty much cemented that he'll retire undefeated.

Because its one of the few traditions that the WWE still has... is it bad in some people's eyes? yes... but i 99% guarantee that it will only be broken (IF it will be broken, which i doubt) at Taker's last wrestlemania... tonight obviously wasn't going to be Taker's last so the streak wasn't going to be broken
