I think alot of us were shocked last night - HHH didnt win the title as it seemed one of the only guarantees apart from Flair's retirement, going into Wrestlemania last night.
He has now lost 4 times in a row at Wrestlemanias - Benoit, Batista, Cena & now to Cena/Orton. We're all thinking - why the hell did this happen???!
I dont think anyone has realised what sort of strategy HHH has. At first, nearly the whole wrestling community destroyed him for always winning at major events and monopolysing the WWE title.
NOW, he has a new plan - play the "losing" card up until WM XXV. I mean how prestigious is it for any superstar to win the strap at WMXXV - the silver anniversary! The biggest WM in my opinion out of them all due to 25 years. Its a very clever ploy in my opinion.
From now until next year - he will use all his political influence in the back to put the strap back on him at WMXXV - im saying it now - HHH will win the title at the next WM!

might be a logical standpoint....but I still wanted him to win last night
but now we are going to endure Cena as champ till next WM where it will be HHH vs Cena, where HHH will put Cena in the ground.

The answer is simple. Triple H is losing to stars that he feels he created and helped build, with the exception of Benoit at Wrestlemania 20. Batista, Orton and Cena are all guys that Triple H likes backstage and he's willing to put them over to make them look good and make himself look even better.

Well HHH knows his spot is safe now hes basically a McMahon. so he doesnt really need to worry anymore about holding others down like he did in 2001/2002

I think HHH will be in TNA by WM25.
Dude, your taking this way to serious, I dont think he's got a masterplan to make him look like gods gift to modern wrestling. It's just that he hasnt won at WM for abit.

maybe, you know he's not interested in the title? Maybe he's got the fans interest in mind because it's not like he's gonna get a crapload more money for being champ but from getting more people interested in wrestling? If I was him I'd be trying to give the fans what they want because I know I'd be running the show one day so I'd want it to keep going strong. If you think about it there isnt much advantage to HHH being champ.

I'm sorry but it actually has to do with buyrates. The buyrates for WM 24 didn't rely on any title matches, it's WM it never does! Whereas with PPV's in the future, if fans believe that a title is more than likely going to change hands, they will be more inclined to order it. This is why titles are now rarely defended and most of the time no more than 2 will change hands.

Aslong as Orton holds the title to atleast Mania 25, I'm happy.

Aslong as Orton holds the title to atleast Mania 25, I'm happy. Not gonna happen, Orton`s lucky he `s gotten this much of a run! They are just trying to give him some recognition, so he doesn`t look like the transitional champ he`s going to be, when Triple H takes the belt from him.
