-- WWE is having some trouble filling up the Citrus Bowl and is giving out anywhere from 5,000 to 7,000 tickets in Orlando to fill the building up. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that as of last week 60,000 tickets were sold. Despite the papering, WrestleMania 24 holds the record for the biggest gate for a wrestling event in North America, bringing in $5.7 million in ticket sales. The only shows in history to earn more from tickets were two New Japan Pro Wrestling shows at the Tokyo Dome in the 90’s.

I mean when they say giving away, thats not them standing on the street handing them out....thats to radio stations, through contests, etc

I don't understand how they can't fill it up. I mean, football teams fill 70,000 Seater Stadiums week in week out, and this is a huge event. Last years was no problem filling the Ford Field, so why would this years be any different, especially as Florida is a much more attractive Venue, and it's in a unique outdoor Stadium.
They're not giving the tickets away for free, just selling them on the gate, which they would rarely do for such an event. The prices would be a lot more exepnsive on the gate too.

And who's to say they couldn't sell them?
Giving away tickets in contests is good PR... I can honestly see them setting aside that many tickets for the sole purpose of contests.

HHH will probably main event AGAIN!!!!!!!! The 3 way has been built up HORRIBLY just like every other match on the card. Big show vs mayweather...need I say more Taker Edge is probably the only match I'm looking foward to, sort of. Who wants to see chavo in a damn ECW world title match? Thats just some I can think of for now.
