SERIOUSLY WTF happened with the prestige of these 2 titles? Remember when the IC title acually meant something and main evented ppvs?
Or when the US title in WCW meant something as well. Even when the WWE first brought the US title in it was used better than it is now. I dont see why WWE just cant start using these 2 belts again and make them prestigious again like the past.
AND YES I KNOW there are WAYYY less people on the rosters now but hey work with what you have WWE!

The IC title used to be a belt to give to a guy to help make them a star. They were doing it up until a few years ago. When Orton, Shelton, and Carlito had it, it was to help build them up (only ended up working for Orton). Now it's just a placeholder for guys who have nothing to do.
The US title on the other hand has been better and has helped MVP a great deal.

The IC title used to be really big. It used to be that whomever won the IC title was on their way to the main event as we saw so many guys win it and then go on to the world title. It's definitely gone downhill in recent years.

The IC title was tremendous on Orton. It actually helped build him to the main event. Now, it's just randomly tossed on anyone, and rarely defended. And the US title....haven't cared for that since Cena lost it. And MVP is a terrible champion. Not his fault though, just the way hes booked.

It's because WWE doesn't want to do anything with them it seems. It's like they hate those belts for some odd reason along with some other belts aside from the WWE and World Titles.

the I.C. title used to be my favorite title. i hate how it hasn't been defended at 'Mania for the last six years. giving the belt to Jericho is a bad movie. he's had it so many times it's ridiculous, plus i hate it when someone who's been world champ goes back and starts chasing the I.C. title again. it's a waste for Jericho.
they need more mid-carders. it seems like all they do is focus on higher carded feuds. give Marella, Carlito and others something to do. i didn't even mind the Hardy/Umaga feud for it. brought something to it.

It's a classic example of over-saturation. There are just too many titles in WWE nowadays. It's hard for them to mean anything.

The US title I feel has been used well and has given all who have held it a push with only a few not following this rule: Benoit, OJ and JBL.

Yea the I.C title is my favorite too..Hopefully they move Punk to Raw and do a Punk VS Y2j fued.. That would actually get people excited. I know I'd look forward to matches between the two . . . . The thing with WWE having both the IC and U.S. titles is the same deal for me as them having the WWE and World . . . . pointless, and it waters down each title. Combine sh*t back together for God's sake, and it would actually mean something again. ONE World Title, ONE midcard belt, ONE set of Tags . . . . having two of each just dumbs everything down.

Because they don't want to. If they wanted, they could.
