Dancer In The Dark - 4.5/5
Haunting, delicate and unforgettable. One of the most depressing, devastating ends to a film ever.

Watched Event Horizon. Anyone else love this movie? I didn't have the honor of checking it out back when it was released in 1997, but I watched it last October and finally ended up buying it for 8 dollars on Amazon a few weeks back. Such a solid scifi/horror film. Kind of curious to hear from anyone that saw it in theaters. What was the general reactions going on around that time? yeah man I liked it too.it was seriously ed up in places wasnt it?anderson got the tension up damn high here several times. the studio made Anderson perform serious cuts here too.like the doc still being alive after he was strung up and Fishburne having to put him out of his misery and way more footage of the previous crew doing their "business" i can imagine what this film originally was intended to look like. A Directors Cut would be awesome!

I last saw two movies so I'll post about them both: Splice I saw this movie a while after it came out. My brother saw it in theaters and said it was so awkward [which is was at times...]. Basically these scientists create new creatures by mixing their DNA. They used human DNA with some other animal and Dren was born. She looked so weird and made some weird noises. Towards the end sh*t got really weird.. Dren was like hopping on her 'daddy' [played by Adrian Brody] and they screwed each other! So bizarre and wrong! To make matters worse Brody's GF was watching them! Then stuff happened at the end that didn't really make sense but yeah this movie was just strange. I would rate Splice a 62/100. Yesterday I saw The Tree of Life at my local Tower Theater. I wanted to see it since I read about it winning the Palme D'or at Canne. So I went and I ended up being underwhelmed. It was a really different movie which I guess I'm not exactly used to seeing so it was kinda boring for me. Like for a while all it was showing was images and that just got too slow at times. I did enjoy when it was showing the actual actors though. Brad Pitt and his movie wife/kids were interesting. Pitt's character sure was a mean father it seemed but his oldest son could be a little prick... I think I missed the last 10 minutes since towards the end some pendejo film projectionist was showing the sh*t that you watch before the movie OVER our ing movie! I went to tell someone off but it was taking forever so I just left. I knew it was ending since it started at 2:25 and it was like 4:15-20? and it did seem to be ending so I think I didn't miss much. I don't know if I would recommend the movie but I guess if you like these types of movies give it a shot but don't expect too much since you could be disappointed like I was.. I would give The Tree of Life a 74/100.

Race with the Devil(70s)
starring Peter Fonda and Warren Oates.
found it very creepy and tense sometimes......typical plot but it worked.I watched this because I knew it was the inspiration for Kevin Smiths Red State

The Adjustment Bureau
It started out pretty good but imo it went downhill towards the end. The movie had an interesting concept though. And I like Damon and Blunt but it wasn't amazing so I can only rate it so highly..
So I would rate it a 75/100.
