I'm driving from NJ to Orlando, and am taking I-95 to get there. I know this is the main way people tend to go to drive south, so I figured there would be a good chance people would know about it. What is the road like driving down? Is it busy highway the whole way or does it get the least bit scenic? Also, are there a lot of hotels available to stay at right off the highway? Lastly, are there a reasonable amount of rest stops open 24 hours to get gas at? Thanks for your help!

I've taken 95 as far south as North Carolina. It stays pretty busy until you clear DC, and then it opens up a bit and it does get pretty in Virginia and North Carolina. As for hotels, depends on your standards. in VA there are mostly motels right off the highway. You are probably good to just pull over when you want to stop for the night, but be aware you may run into a situation where all the hotels are booked up because of some local event. For as much of 95 as I have traveled there are always gas stops and/or rest areas with gas and restaurants readily available. Have a good time, nothing beats a road trip!

I've drove down I-95 probably the most here
Florida twice (orlando) North Caroline 3 times Virgina 2 times Atlanta once
Is it busy highway the whole way or does it get the least bit scenic? It's pretty moderate. The only traffic you'll hit is if there is an accident then it slows up
Also, are there a lot of hotels available to stay at right off the highway? Yes alllllll the way down
Lastly, are there a reasonable amount of rest stops open 24 hours to get gas at? I believe all rest rooms are open 24hrs but the actual building may close. I've seen the building closed at a few but the bathrooms are always open

I can't give you any tips about I-95, but I can tell you this. Take your time and have fun on the road, the happiest I can ever get is being on the road with my friends. Stop in some random places to get gas and food, you should end up have some experiences you will talk about for the rest of your life.
Be safe and have fun bro, and if you cross through Friendsville, Maryland do NOT stop there, that place might look like a nice town, but at night I swear that place is the real life Silent Hill, the portal to hell can be found there, my friends and I figured this out last year on the way home from New Jersey.
