I just want to get a few things off my chest and voice in my opinion on a few things...
- Why is it that no one on this board can have a favorite wrestler with out getting bashed. If you like Cena your a sheep! But if you don't like Cena its because not liking him is the cool thing to do... If you like a rising star a try to defend him you get bashed and that guy sucks.
-There seems to be two types of wrestling fans on this board. The ones who have only been watching for a few years and are casual fans and then the diehards. The more casual fans seem to be younger guys that know things a couple of years back, and the diehards hate these guys for it. They believe that they should know as much as they do. Now this doesn't apply to everyone but its the guys who think they know everthing (on both sides) that really annoy the hell out of me.
- Why do people on this board think that coke, heroin, and meth is the same drug?
- What's with the obbsesion with divas?
- What really upsets me is people who use wretling terms...mark out, straps, spot ect. Now I know some terms really can't be avoived but these terms are supposed to be coined by the wrestlers themselves. If you met a wrestler and told them that "I totally marked out for you!!" There probably going to roll their eyes and think your a douchebag.
- It really bothers me with each passing Wrestlemania they focus less on the fueds and matches and more on Publicity matches. This current WM has to be the most last minute thrown together WM they've had in a long time, the card is actually good but if really, really needs a couple of grudge matches. I guess it doesn't matter though cause Ill keep going to them.
- Why do some guys post on every thread they can?
- Why is it a sin to like TNA?
- WHY DO PEOPLE BELIVE EVERYTHING ON THE INTERNET. Seriuosly, if something gets reported people automatically think its true. The people who run these sites make guesses. There guess is usually just as good as ours. I mean for the last year and a half they have been saying Umaga is going to SD. They don't really know, they guess. Remember when Rey was supposed to go to Raw after his last TWO injuries. Remember when Daniel Rodimer was supposed to join RKO. Remember when Jindrak was supposed to join Evolution. And why the hell is Punk in the doghouse every other week, I'll tell you why, its because its a good read a people like to hear these things. More than half of these things end up being false though.
-Meeting a wrestler:
*Disclaimer-I've met a lot of wrestlers over the years and have learned a few things but I by no means an expert but here a few things that I've picked up.** Some of them stay in character. Yes its true some still do this. A few weeks ago somone made a post saying that Kennedy was a jerk for yelling at a 4 year old. Now how can you not find that funny, that's hilarious. Kennedy portrays a loudmouth a$$hole on TV but when he leaves the arena he supposed to hug and play buddy buddy with everyone? Where's the logic in that? I met him a few months back and he was in full character but a class act. It was outside the arena envirornment not an auto signing, mind you.
Treat wrestlers like normal people. Don't be in super fan mode. Try to make jokes and stay cool. Last night I was next to a guy who asked a wrestler to do his Voice mail message. Don't ever ask stupid questions like that, odds are they won't do it.
Now very important! DON'T bombard a wrestler. Last night I went out to eat after the SD/ECW tapings and there were a TON of guys there. After my uncle and I finished eating we sat outside the building and MVP and Vis pulled up. While they went in we asked if we could get a quick picture, but we didn't get up from were we were sitting. They said not right now but maybe when they get out. A whole bunch of wretlers later a fan (late 20s early 30s) came out of the resturant and said that MVP was a dick. This fan and his friends were barricading the door asking everyone for autos and such the whole night. When MVP finally came out we asked him again if we could get a picture he said yeah, just come over to his car with him, very cool and very classy of him. And its that simple.
-Who actually uses the Karma system?
-Why does eveyone complain about Batista, Cena,HHH being on sreoids (whether it may or may not be true) Then complain about guys like Kennedy,Punk,Edge not having a toned muscular body. It really blows my mind. All those guys are in great shape and they bring diversity to the roster.
-Why do people make posts that A. Either add nothing to the conversation or B. Just instegate a fight?
- I actually have to applaud WWE signing and pushing guys who look different for once. Guys like Festus (Hefty and balding), Sydel, Kofi, Delaney/Olsen. Sure they might not be huge stars but its a step in the right direction.
Well, I think that's it for now. If you read the whole thing give yourself a pat on the back. Now keep in mind I did this voice in my opinions on a few things not to start arguments, I trid to keep my comments as neutral and open minded like I always try to do.I'm sure a lot of people arent going to agree with the things I wrote and that's fine, let me hear what you think. Thanks for reading.
