I just saw someone complaining about Cena winning the Rumble in their sig, and I know this is very old, but I guess I still don't understand to this day...
From what I understand, we had no idea that Cena would be returning at the Rumble because he was still scheduled to be out for several months.
Did WWE pull the wool over our eyes on how long Cena would be out and he is healthy now?
Or is he just wrestling with the injury?
If the latter is true, he is pretty stupid, but I admire his dedication. If the prior is true, I admire WWE's ability to pull off an actual surprise.
Keep in mind, I don't read the internet dirtsheets like I used to, so I may be entirely mistaken about this... In which case, feel free to call me an idiot.

It could be either one. No one knows for sure which it is and some would tell you one thing, and others would say it's the other.

Ahh... So, I'm not the only one who doesn't understand? Haha... Well, that's good to know.

Cena's fine. He was injured, hence the scar that was shown on raw the night after and stuff. Only WWE either lied about the return date, or he was cleared way ahead of schedule.
Theres no way someone could perform to their fullest with a torn muscle. Finishing matches is possible, but doing house shows, and week after week injured is imposible. i still dont understand how Taker could do that cage match the week after he got injured.

Apparently, he trained harder than he was supposed to and made a super dooper quick recovery.

I'd love to know who WWE had picked to win the Rumble before Cena realized he could come back full time. I guess HHH is the obvious choice.

I think they were bluffing, and not bluffing, I think he was at least 80%. No way could he go in there and support HHH's weight if he still had 6-12 more months of healing left.

The scar was fake!, It wasn`t there when he was celebrating at the rumble. I`ve watched 100 times and see nothing like he had on Raw

I do believe he was injured. I'm also sure the original 6-12 months of being out of action was true. I think Cena getting the surgery the very next morning and rehabbing it like crazy made all the difference. He may have even been ready earlier in January like reports had said, but it was smart on WWE's part to plan the big surprise.

Remember the Raw when he actually got injured? He got injured after being hit by Kennedy, but WWE sold it as him being injured by Ortons beat down. If it was fake, they would have him start selling it after something done by Orton. Then it was gonna be the Last Man Standing match at No Mercy. During which, they aired the Cyber Sunday promo, there they said something along the lines of "Decide the stimpulation of the WWE Championship Match" one of the choices was a Hell In a Cell match. Originally supposed to be Orton vs. Cena in a HIAC. Then Cena go injured, and it Changed to "Choose Orton's Opponent." Fake scar or not, it was a real injury.

After Cena got out of surgery, he went to the beach so he could spend a great deal of time under our yellow sun.
