Source: Daily Keller Hotline, PWTorch VIP section, 6/19/2007
Wade Keller has sources that say WWE is pursuing Chris Jericho. However, other sources say that Jericho was utterly turned off by the McMahon death angle, saying it not only exploited Eddie and Owen, but 9/11 as well. Those sources say Jericho no longer wants anything to do with WWE.
He also reported that CNBC's stock analysts fear that WWE might be sued for "misleading shareholders" since they are reporting that McMahon is "presumed dead" when he isn't really dead.

Chris Jericho is a demigod... I'm sure many of WWE's roster isn't happy with this angle. Hopefully this means Jericho will pursue alternative promotions... preferably TNA, if not ROH. I'd kill for Chris Jericho vs. Alex Shelley... it'd be TNA's Benoit/Punk.

I don't blame him. But I'm sure they'll throw enough money at him.

I don't blame him. But I'm sure they'll throw enough money at him. Yeah, they'll probably do that but I don't think he'll accept it. I'm sure he'd rather work for less and take on a lighter and less demanding work schedule, like TNA. Man, if TNA could sign Jericho, that would be huge for them. I mean, I thought them bringing in Christian and Kurt Angle was huge, but if they could get Jericho, that would really be great for them.

I don't beleive any of it...
WWE is always trying to push the envelope with something...this Vince/Death angle isn't any different. I mean Y2J was around for alot of distasteful things during his run with the company, the Vince McMahon Kiss My Ass Club & Katie Vick are good examples.
Do I think that the angle is distasteful? To a point, but we have to realize that this product has storylines much like soap operas do. You could watch Days Of Our Lives, Passions, All My Children, General Hospital, and others and they would have similar storylines. Hell some of their storylines are much worse. Trust me...take it for someone that's married and has a wife that enjoys this kind of thing.
I think people are looking into this angle a little too much though. It's a storyline. It has nothing to do with Eddie, Owen, or 9-11. They used the 10 bell salute to make the storyline seem authentic. If they didn't do that, how many people on here would be pointing that out?? Sometimes the internet smarks dig a little too deep to try to find something wrong with the product. I seen it when things were bad in the past few years, but I've also seen those smarks complain when things were really good too.

Great now we can see most countless posts saying "OMGZ JERICHOS COMMIN TO TNA!!!!!11111oneoneone" & "When jericho goes to TNA wwe will suck and tna will get a 2 hour TV deal" In the words of eric bischoff it won't matter. TNA doesn't get it, they need to change things if they ever want to be more then an indie fed with a TV deal.

Am I the only one who doesn't him ever returning to wrestling? I see all these "news" sites talking about how Jericho keeps teasing a return to pro wrestling; we all know that he likes to with people, maybe he's ing with us by teasing a return.

I would think he'd pick TNA just for a lighter schedule that allows him to continue to play with his band more frequently than a WWE schedule would.

9/11 how? lmao. This story has to be false. Because if Vince McMahon is really dead, the terrorists win. If THIS pissed off Jericho, imagine if Vince went with his original idea of falling from the top of the arena to his death while a bunch of muslims danced to mariachi music. THAT would have been tasteless.

9/11 how? lmao. This story has to be false. Car bombings are terrorist related. Many Muslim fundamentalists have bombed Israeli government officials' vehicles. Muslim fundamentalists were one in the same with the 19 9/11 hijackers. Fortunatly for those of us with no respect for Vince McMahon or WWE, this story is true.
