Challenges, Problems and Solutions (Part 1)
<It’s rather flashy. Bright lights flash on and off very quickly, as sirens and animated gun shots are going off. The laughter of children echoes in all directions. Looking around, it’s time for some inspection. To the left, there is an air hockey table. Two kids are going at it. One on one, the score looks to be ten to eight. The kid on the far end is winning at the moment. The sound of the puck bouncing off the walls can be heard sharply as there is a rally going on at the moment. The far kid smashes the puck with his hammer as it bounces off the wall. The closer kid tries to block it, but fails as the puck enters the goal on his side. A siren goes off, it is not eleven to eight. Enough of that, lets look to the right. Here we have a desk. It’s made of pure glass. There are reflections on the glass of the whole room, but looking through the reflection, we see many stuffed animals, water guns, and other various toys. Behind the desk, we see more toys, yet these ones are much larger. There is a man behind the desk, observing the area. A kid runs up to the desk, and hands to the man what looks to be tickets. The man accepts them, and reaches into the desk, and grabs a stuffed animal. Ah, there are prizes. But for what? Maybe a look forward will help answer this. Looking forward, there are many different games systems. Various games like Mario World, Mars Attack, a racing game, even a golf game. They are lined up beside each other and stretch all the way down the front wall that is being looked at. This can only point to one place. An arcade. Yes, this is an arcade, but why here? A noise can be heard from behind, and with one look, there is Calvin Lee. Calvin Lee looks at all the different games in the arcade, and walks forward a couple steps. Calvin Lee lets out a little chuckle, and speaks loud and clearly. This is an arcade remember.>
Calvin Lee: As I look around at this arcade, it reminds me of a couple things. It reminds me of the games I used to play as a little kid. All the challenges, all the problems and all the solutions that I had to use to get through those challenges and problems. Whether is was beating Bowser to win at Mario World, or whether it was having to beat the leader on the last lap of the biggest race of my life. All games have challenges, all games have problems, and all games have some sort of solutions. Of course, you also have to remember, that it is a game, and that you have to have fun while you find out that solution. Well, I have come to realize that life is much like a game. There are many challenges, many problems. I have faced many challenges and problems, yet I can’t seem to find myself a solution. I mean, think about these last few weeks. I have been through a win or two, and lots of loses. I have been beaten by many people lately, and well, in all honestly, it hasn’t bothered me too much. Although, one challenge has been able to bother me. This challenge would be the Ham Shank Championship. About two months ago, I was told by our owners that I, Calvin Lee was finally getting what I rightfully deserved, a shot at the Ham Shank Championship. My opponents, in a triple threat match, Tha CBT and Obo. Come that night, I was attacked, injured, and unable to be in that match. In my eyes, that was unfair, so I was given another chance to get a shot at the title. I won that match, and was lined up for a shot at the title that should have been mine from the start, and not Obo’s. So, then I was told it was going to be Calvin Lee vs. Obo, Super Brawl 4, for the WFWF Ham Shank Title. Then, out of no where, comes this dip crap named Wayne McGurk, who mysteriously earned a right to be in this match, making it yet another triple threat for the title. And to make matters worse, he changed MY match from a cage to a chained cage. Wayne was starting to be a really big problem to me.
<Calvin Lee stops for a second. He walks a couple steps forward, while looking around some more. He sees the kids at the games playing all happy, then he looks over at the air hockey table. The score is now fourteen to nine for the far kid. Calvin Lee does not look amused.>
Calvin Lee: Just like that kid there, I was looking at the odds starting to be stacked against me. Wayne McGurk is a huge favourite to Kyzer and Drakz. I wonder who they want to win it? So, I sat back and thought to myself some more, how does a man like Calvin Lee beat these two? I thought that I could just go in, beat the hell out of them, climb that cage and win. That would be the solution to my challenge to win the Ham Shank Title, and that’d be the solution to my problem with Wayne McGurk. However, that didn’t happen. Instead, it seemed that Obo blow out my shoulder, and Wayne McGurk walked out with what is suppose to be my Ham Shank Championship. And to make matters worse, Obo gets a rematch for the title, and I am not even in it. Obo doesn’t even want the damn title, why is he getting a shot for it back? And even worse, why am I not even involved in the match. Oh wait, I am.
<Calvin Lee stops again. He lets out a laugh. He starts to grin as he looks over at the games. >
Calvin Lee: I have been handed the very job of the special guest referee for this match. My challenge actually may have some fun in it after all. For you see, being ref, I can make things go my way, and not your way. My problem with you Wayne might not be over, but I can for surely eliminate Obo from the competition come Odium. Obo is someone I don’t want to deal with anymore. He’s a complete fake. First he wants to win the title. Then he freaks out about how he doesn’t know why he wanted it, and changes the whole belt on it’s own. Then he tries to keep it at Super Brawl, and now he wants it back. Obo, you are complete fake. Why don’t you just admit that you did care for the title. You were saying all the time that it was unworthy. Maybe it was unworthy because you were it’s champion Obo. Did you ever think of that? After Odium Obo, you will be out of the picture. Wayne won’t be, I’ll deal with him later, but you Obo, I think it’s time for you to go away. And Odium is going to be the exact time where Wayne puts your beaten, warn, bloody body down for the three count. You annoy me Obo, after Odium, just go away and don’t come back.
<Calvin Lee stops yet again. The sirens are going off again at the air hockey table. That closer kid has come back to win fifteen to fourteen. Calvin Lee gives a small round of applause.>
Calvin Lee: Challenges are meant to be faced, problems are meant to happen. Both are meant to be dealt with. Odium will be the starting for my plan to deal with my problems, and my challenges. I will not rest until I win my Ham Shank Championship, and the fun of winning it will all start on Odium, where Wayne McGurk takes you out Obo. And if you think that I am wrong Obo, just remember. I makes the rules in the match. I tell you when the match is over. Not you, not Wayne. Not even Kyzer and Drakz. Me. I say when you lose. And trust me, you WILL lose, and you will lose painfully. After Odium Obo, you’ll feel the pain you’ve brought to me with this shoulder injury. Have fun at Odium Obo, I promise you that it will be a blast.
