OCC: It's advised to read Wayne's RP before reading this one:

Vanessa was glad to feel the cold of winter press against her cheek again. Waking in the same bed that nested her for thirteen of the first seventeen years of her life, she looked forward to walking over the same cobbled streets she had treaded past so many times in her young life, and now, she was going to do it all over again. This time she was not alone.
Montreal has never felt so good.
Vanessa turned away from the open window; socked feet stepping over hardwood. She was excited, excited in that way she hadn't been in a long time. Vanessa ran to her old bed, the bed she shared with Scarlet the night before. Vanessa took a seat beside Scarlet and gently ran her fingers along Scarlet's cheek; looking at her, right now, Scarlet's definitely the best thing that ever happened to her... She just looked like her, maybe with the exception of Wayne's chin, and maybe his lips. Vanessa drew her hands over Scarlet's hair.
Slowly, Scarlet opened her eyes.
This was it, Vanessa felt it now, her new beginning, their new beginning.
Hey baby...
Vanessa smiled as she gazed down upon Scarlet.
Hello Mommy...
Did you sleep well?
I did.
Good girl.
I want you to get up as soon as you can, and you and me are going to go out for breakfast.
Sounds like fun, mommy.
Scarlet rose; sitting up with her shoulder's lurched over.
It is. I'm going to take you to this little place where your Grand-pere Mario and your Grand-mere Celeste would take me for breakfast, where they cook everything with maple syrup.
Everything?
Everything.
Where's daddy, mommy?
Daddy's not here, baby.
Is daddy going to come here?
I don't know yet.
Mommy, when are we going home?
We are home, were in our new home, for now. Now, I want you to wake. I'll just be downstairs, if you need me.
Okay, mommy.
Vanessa leaned in and kissed Scarlet. Vanessa rose from the bed and motioned to the door.
I love you, baby.
I love you, mommy.

Vanessa slowly closed the door to her bedroom. Walking down the corridor, she was surrounded by a gallery of old photographs; many yellowed with age. Everyone was there; her ancestors for the old-country, relatives, uncles, aunts, cousins she'd hadn't seen in years, let alone met. There were photo's of her parents at a younger and happier time. But Vanessa paused at old photo taken of her at around Scarlet's age, she was one a swing at the corner park she'd always play in; her cousin Keith stood in the far left, picking his nose; the picture had too, aged. Then at the end of the corridor, Vanessa stopped at a picture of her and Wayne, about a year and a half after Scarlet was born. It was taken at a banquet Ben Vega had thrown for Frank, Wayne's father. Vanessa's ran her fingers along Wayne's face.
Why can't you be here? It isn't as hard as it really is...
She murmured.
Vanessa turned away and walked down the stairway.
I'm not leaving anything behind, this was what Wayne wanted and this was the path I chose. He gets scared sometimes, and sometimes he doesn't let me in, and that scares me. He doesn't have to be Superman, nobody asked him to be. Wayne wanted change, I wanted something new, by treading further back, I reckon we both got what we wanted.
God, I just used Wayne's word. As to where I would conjure, he would reckon.

So Candi, you're getting what you wanted. Are you exited?
Kind of.
Look, I'll need your complete focus and attention out there. I know Kat has my back, she knows I have hers. You have faith in knowing that'll be there to cover for you when you need me, understood?
... Good.
Now, everything I want you to make me proud. Because what happens is a reflection on how I trained you, which in turn, reflects just how I was trained. I'm taking a big risk for you by putting you with me in this match, and a lot of people don't see a lot from you. So, I'm doing what I can for you, and I want you to show them that you are above them.
Alright. What about you?
I've been in enough of these to know what to do. It's you I'm looking out for.

Let's go back.
Brooklyn?
No. Further back.
The old mortuary we converted to an apartment?
No. Further back.
Wayne reached over and took the cigarette from her hands and took a quick puff. Vanessa crossed her legs as she leaned against the steel railings of the balcony. Looking past Wayne, she looked at the window, and watched a shade of the Tijuana sun's sparkle rip through the darkness of the night.
How far back?
Placing the cigarette on the ashtray.
To the time before we ever settled down... Just drifting from one place to another, seeing new things, seeing the world.
I like that.
Really?
Yeah. Is that what you want?
Yeah, actually.
Alright, let's do that. How long are we going to stay out there?
Until whenever.
Alright babe, until whenever.

The house was quiet, it was only Scarlet and here staying there; everyone else was uncommonly way; it was weird actually. Vanessa sat alone in the dining table; her hands wrapped around a cup of lemon tea, with a splash of milk. Vanessa took a sip of the tea.
Great, now she felt alone.
Scarlet came into the dining room, still in her pj's.
Hey...
Vanessa smiled.
I'm glad to see you walking this early.
Mommy, how comes daddy is not here?
He doesn't like it here, and I can't blame him. Your Grand-pere and your Grand-mere haven't really been that easy with daddy.
Vanessa shoked she just admitted that to Scarlet... Wayne tried.
They don't like daddy?
Kind of.
Why? I love daddy.
And I love daddy too.
Then why don't they love, daddy?
I don't know baby, I don't know.
