To make an impact in both this world and this business you have to do something drastic, something that nobody would ever expect of you, something that will shock and effect so many people that it becomes permanently emblazoned into their memory.
That is what I will do, I will prove that I can change the world, that I am in control of my own destiny, I begin that tonight, and continue it when I win back MY Hardcore X Championship.
The wind howls around me, like a ravenous beast intent on getting the kill. The sky is black, but there is not rain. From the looks of things however it seems like the rain is waiting for just that one moment for it all to pour at once. It is eerily quiet other than the wind.
I am meant to be waiting for someone who may be able to help Kite in his mission to change the world, apparently for the better, although the jury is still out on that one.
I have been standing in the same place for at least half an hour when I hear footsteps behind me, I swerve suddenly to find myself face to face with my informant, although they don’t exactly look like I thought they would.
? : What, you’ve never seen a woman before?
She says it with such sarcasm that I instantly let out a small grin, although I ensure that she doesn’t see it.
The person standing in front of me is certainly a woman, standing just over 6 feet tall, and with long blonde hair that goes right down to her… well, you know where. I take a quick glance at her clothing, noticing that it is mostly black, from a black shirt, which I can just make out as having a “Three Days Grace” pattern on, as well as a very nice short black skirt…
Sorry about that, I just got a little sidetracked.
?: The name’s Kara, and make sure you keep you eyes up here.
She points her finger at her face.
Trace: What do you take me for?
Kara: A general male.
Trace: You got me there; I am definitely one of those.
Kara: Thats pushing it.
She lets out a little chuckle as she speaks but stops as she notices that I am barely listening to her, and takes a satchel from her back.
Trace: So what am I actually getting here?
Kara: It all depends on what you want.
Trace: I was just sent here to get something for Kite.
Kara: Why do you work for him?
Trace: What do you mean?
Kara: Why are you helping him, do you even know who he is, what he has done, and the pain he has caused?
She really emphasizes the last few words, and it immediately makes me think.
Trace: I don’t know anything about him.
It is not a statement, but more of an admission.
Kara: That’s what I thought, which is why I brought these as well.
She takes two things out of the satchel and hands me two packages, one is wrapped up like a scroll, which I can tell are maps. I take a glance at where they are for but can’t recognize a thing, I never was much of map reader.
Kara: I think it’s the other item you will be more interested in.
The other item is a bundle wrapped up with brown tape. I can tell that it is a file, full of papers, I open it up and quickly flick through it, noticing a number of pictures and names.
Trace: This is all information on Kite, Brute and Roxy.
Kara: Correct, I will let you choose what you do with it.
Kara starts to leave before handing me a piece of paper.
Kara: Give me a call if you make the right decision.
She walks away, her high heels hitting the floor with every step, how the hell I didn’t here her sooner is any guess.
I look down at the maps and the file when my phone rings. I pick up and realize that it is decision time.
Kite: So what did she give you?
I look down at the file and give my reply.
Trace: Just some maps.
Kite: Nothing else.
And without a moment of hesitation.
Trace: No, nothing.
