Its a typical October night in Minneapolis as the long days have become short turning into the night, what was the hottest days earlier this year are now some of the coldest. The snow has yet to fall, but that doesnt keep the thin patches of drizzle falling from grace. This weather doesnt stop the town from shutting down, nor does it keep the people away from certain places, one being the Target Center in the downtown district. Tonight is supposed to me a WFWF attraction show, but its also the first time that the WFWF has been in Minnesota in over a year. Thats what makes the crowd so pumped tonight. Some of the WFWF cameras are on the outside filming the rowdy crowd and interviewing some of the extreme fans that has braved the cold since six o'clock this morning. Most of the WFWF superstars are in the arena getting prepared to daze the crowd, but one man that hasnt even made it to the building yet is Yukio Blaze. Yukio is sitting in a black Trail Blazer rental car, in the parking garage of the Target Center. A gate separates Yukio from the elevators to the arena, but it also separates him from a crowd of people. Security guards stand at the gate doing what they do best, look the other way and eat their precious five dollar pretzels. Yukio sits in the Blazer with his seatbelt still buckles and his hands griping the steering wheel.
I cant do this tonight. Its been a long time coming, but I need to tell myself no. I drove from Chicago to get here and now I'm doing this. I've been doing this for far so long that so things need to be either phased out or toned down. If I leave this car right now, I'll do what I do best, but if I stay in this car, it proves that I'm a coward and god forbid, one of those dirt sheet journalists gets wind of this or even if one of those fans gets a picture of me like this, I'll be ruined but it would be a nice change in things. Its hard to believe that if you told him after three years of being with the same team that I would be in this type of shape. I know EBR, Obo, and even CBT have these same feelings, but they can embrace them because of their lifestyles. If someone would have told me fame would be this complexed, I would have laughed right in their face. I guess all I can do now is tell the new guys that fame is a two sided affair, one with a good outlook and the other being that side that gives grief.
Yukio takes both of his hands off of the wall and places his head on the wheel. Yukio then starts to gently bash his head up against the wheel says Why, Why, Why over and over.
Flashback
The year was 2004. It was on a October day when Yukio Blaze with his wife entered WFWF head quarters to talk to the CEO and President. Yukio was excited as was his wife, but the president was very interested in him as he saw Yukio has a new defining face in the WFWF. He shook Yukio's hand and from that day forward, Yukio has been a WFWF superstar. Before Yukio left the office, the president gave him a few profound words.
Eat it up kid because you havent seen nothing yet. You are going to be the greatest thing to happen to this company since I signed ZMaster to a contract. From this time on, fame and fortune will be coming your way, but just there will be downfalls along the way.
......I shrugged it off and laughed. Thats all I did. I should have took those words as a notice, but I didnt. Tonight, I have the choice of sitting here, then leave. Possibly gets fired from the WFWF and it would be a godsend or I suck it up, take my bag, leave out of this car, then walk through those gates onto my match with CBT. All these hard decisions coming my way. CBT would be glad as he would love a night off, but then I wouldnt be satisfied as I'm the International Champion and I have some unfinished business with CBT anyways. A champion never takes the easy way out nor does a two year old feud die just like that.
Yukio reaches to the backseat and pulls back a messenger type of bag. Yukio empties out the contents out on the passenger side seat. Yukio throws the bag back into the back, unbuckles his seat belt and starts sorting through a pile of papers and pictures. Yukio flings the papers all in Blazer, until he stops at a laminated piece of paper. Yukio runs his finger down the paper, then stops his finger towards the bottom of the page. Yukio smiles and screams out Yes, yes, this is it. Yukio starts to smile and he places the paper on the mound of askew papers.
Flashback
The first ever CBT vs Blaze match took place in 2005 in the Survival Of The Fittest triple threat match with Josh. It both both Blaze and CBT on the map, but neither one of those men defeated Josh. In a non-televised match, It was a brutal strap match, that saw Yukio take the strap and choked out CBT in the center of the ring. Yukio had one up on him. The second match they had was at Vidi Veni Veci. Yukio was the reigning Tag Team Champions, defending them against EBR and his mystery partner of CBT. As quick as Yukio won the tag titles, they were taken away from him due to a cheating move, but the match ending cleanly. It was tied one all. The final and most recent match they had together was CBT and Shadow vs Blaze and McGurk. CBT and Blaze fought like warriors in the ring, but Blaze wasnt able to win CBT, nor CBT was able to pin Blaze. That was on the very last Felo De Se, now its CBT vs Yukio Blaze in their first one on one encounter with no stipulations. The emotions are running wild, but also the fame and fortune comes into play.
Its now a due or die situation. The fame and fortune has ruined my life, but in this match I'm going to be the indestructible force, the tank that has so much armor, that it will still stand after a nuclear blast. I'm made my money in the WFWF because I can wrestle. I'm not one of those guys that charges a hundred dollars to sign a autograph, or one of those guys that stays around at a certain place for fifteen minutes, then collect that nice fat pay check. I've never been like that, nor will I ever be like that. I have enough pride to not lower myself to those standards, unlike you CBT. You were the second guy to trademark your name in this place to benefit to gain more and more. I dont give a damn about a name, because thats all it is. You make yourself because of your skills, not because of a character name. You then also guy all that expensive crap and crave more, cars, houses, Puerto Rican women and god knows what else. You can love all of those things, but I've only had two true loves, my family and my wrestling skills......
Yukio goes to talk, but nothing comes out of his mouth. Yukio tries to cough, but nothing. Yukio starts to breathe heavily and then just like that, his head falls right back on the steering wheel, but this time the horn starts to sound.
~~~~Period~~~~
Yukio is climbing up a tall mountain and also reaches the top, but falls back down onto the ground. Yukio safely falls on all fours, then gets up to look around. All he sees is a desolate wasteland surrounding him, with shadow type of objects surrounding him and trying to grab a hold of him. Yukio breaks free from the shapes and starts to run, but he is running in place with no where to go. Yukio looks up to the sky, hears something that sounds like a clash, then sees clear like shapes falling from the sky. Yukio extends his arms and slowly starts to levitate up..........
One of the guards reaches his hand through the broken glass, unlocks the door and Yukio then comes to his senses. Yukio shakes and rubs his head, when the guard starts to talk to him.
Are you alright sir ? I afraid you were a goner
No, us Spencer's dont go down like that. Its always around fifty or so until we kick the bucket.
Well, my partner over there call for one of the EMT in the building to come out and check on you. Its proper protocol, oh and I'm sorry about the window.
Thats fine, its a rental. Luckily I paid the extra 10 bucks on insurance.
Alright, I'll be other there. If you need anything, signal me.
Sure will.
The guard walks about five feet from Yukio and Yukio looks back over to the pile of papers. He puts the paper he looked at earlier towards the bottom and re shuffles the papers.
CBT, I've tried and tried to get out of this place, but with no avail. It appears that I'm here for life and with that said, only one of use can stay around forever. I've brought it in all shapes and sizes, I will do it no differently. You can have the fame and fortune, it has only given me bad luck anyways. I would rather take the hundred to one odds in a horse race, because I love it when the cards are stacked against me.
Yukio takes the messenger bag from the back, and starts stuffing the papers back into it. Yukio then reaches in the back and grabs his gym bag. Yukio steps out of the Blazer, slings the messenger back around his back and carries the gym back. Yukio closes the door and starts walking towards the gate. Crazy fans are cheering Yukio on, with some have not to happy looks on their faces. Yukio stops to sign autographs, while some of the security guards are holding the people back.
Flashback
Yukio was placing the papers back into his bag and in a hurry, Yukio forgot a single piece of paper. The paper sat in the passenger set and with it kinda folded, it said on the top "To Every.......". The paper then flew out of the window and out into the October air.......
