So, what would you guys say are the best main events in WM history?
There have been 39 WMs & 43 main events in total (WM started doing a 2 day show in 2020, which features 2 different main events on each day).
You can name 5,10,15,20 etc. I'll do 10 now & maybe 10 honourable mentions later.
Austin/Rock WM17
Austin/Rock WM15
Austin/KO WM38 night 1
Hogan/Warrior WM6
Reigns vs Cody WM39 night 2
USOs vs KO/Sami WM39 night 1
Bryan vs Batista vs Orton WM30
Rock vs Cena WM28

I don't consider the end of Night 1 as the Main Event of Mania so I cannot include KO & Stone Cold.
Anyway as Mania Main Events I would go for.
Hogan Vs Andre WM3
Bret Vs Shawn WM12
Austin Vs Shawn WM14
Austin Vs Rock WM15
Austin Vs Rock WM17
Brock Vs Angle WM19
Shawn Vs Benoit Vs HHH WM20
HHH Vs Cena WM22
Cena Vs Shawn WM23
Undertaker Vs Edge WM 24
Undertaker Vs Shawn WM26
Orton Vs Batista Vs Bryan WM30

I'm narrowing it down to 5. No order.
Austin Vs Rock -- WM17
HBK Vs Undertaker -- WM26
Brock Vs Roman -- WM31
Bryan Vs Orton Vs Batista -- WM30
Edge Vs Undertaker -- WM24
Leaving off some great matches here but I think this is the definitive five main events that were absolutely stellar. I am almost tempted to replace WM24 with Bianca Vs Sasha at WM37. Hard to leave off WM20 as well but I'd bump it to 6 or 7.
Also leaving out a lot of the early Mania main events because its just difficult to compare the standard of modern wrestling to the standard then. Hogan Vs Warrior and others are obviously good matches but I wouldn't prefer to watch that over the list above.

I haven't actually sat through a ton of Wrestlemania main events but, out of the ones I did see, Austin vs KO is definitely my personal #1. Austin vs Rock at X-Seven is probably personal #2. objective #1 overall and BAH GAHD that ending. Talk about putting a definitive end point on the attitude era. That whole show was stellar but the ending of the main event felt like one hell of an exclamation point.
Outside of those two, I'd say the only other one I truly truly enjoyed was Undertaker vs AJ Styles in the Boneyard Match. It wasn't good wrestling by any stretch of the imagination, but I was VERY sports entertained and, due to the pre-taped, edited nature of it, it allowed The Undertaker an awesome sendoff performance that you get the impression after a 30 year career, he wasn't going to get in front of a live audience.
Surprisingly, for me, Sami and Kevin vs the Usos isn't on this list, primarily because for a match that was supposed to be the culmination of Sami and Kevin's 20 year story, Kevin barely factored into it. That match was Sami Zayn vs Jey Uso with Kevin and Jimmy just sort of THERE. Also, there's no need for that many "superkicks" in one match. I don't think you can call them superkicks anymore at this point, they're just kicks. There's nothing super about them, the move has been so horribly diluted now that it's pointless. Finally, literally nobody, nobody at all, not a single friggin soul was going to stand there and try to say that, short of administrative interference, the Usos were walking out of that stadium as champions. The finish to that match was telegraphed so far in advance it was insane. Was it a feel good moment? Sure. I loved the moment. They deserved it. But as far as wrestling match outcomes go, I agree with the guy who compared it to a Hallmark Christmas Movie. You went into the match knowing exactly how it was going to turn out, but that ending made the entire journey worth it.
Sort of.

My favorite WM ME of all time is Hogan vs Savage @ WMV. It was brilliant. other honorable mentions

Austin vs Rock @ WM15(Backlash 99 was better though)

For everyone saying Undertaker/Edge, I just hated how overbooked it was with all the run-in's, interference, ref bumps, etc. It was an absolutely cluster-F that didn't need to happen. Taker won obviously, so it wasn't like the shenanigans were needed for Edge to win. Overall one of the most disappointing handlings of what could have been an even better WM main event.
