Few more pics from last night's pickups: Do the skin tones match the KOTR ultimate Bret? This fig is gonna need a head swap. I was gonna do the same with the WM8 dm but the tones were different

This thread is awesome. I used to take *full* advantage of working at Wal-Mart to get what I wanted. That job sucked and didn't come with any perks as it was, so you'd better believe I was gonna make the best of a bad situation. My poison at the time was Marvel Legends (the old ToyBiz ones). Haha. I was able to get so many chases and hard to find figures. That was legitimately the only upside to those miserable years barely scraping by to make Sam Walton's doofus kids richer. Technically we weren't supposed to shop before our shift for some reason. Pfft. Sure, Wal-Mart. I also wasn't supposed to enter or exit through the lawn and garden doors, but I did that too, cause that dropped me right into the toy department and L&G had a cash register out there so I could dump my bounty back in my car before I started. FACK the Wal-Mart.

You say collecters can "not just buy the toys" This may be true. It's hard as hell to get these things. But saying we that we all have had to find ways to be sneaky about it is objectively false. Some of us would rather not compromise our morals for toys. Even if I was presented with the chance to be sneaky about something, I wouldn't. I'll go to secondary to get a figure before I'm unfair about getting it. And honestly? I've done it before and I'll do it again, if I was presented on secondary with the option of buying a MOC figure for slightly cheaper than a minty fresh loose one? I'll buy the loose one for the few bucks more and leave the MOC listing for a person who wants MOC. Money isn't everything. Action figures aren't the end of the world. But being a good, fair, and just person is VERY important to me and if I have to sacrifice money and/or figures to keep my conscience in good standing, I will do so happily. Being "sneaky" doesn't necessarily mean "immoral" like you are implying. And you are mis-quoting me anyway. My point was that you can't just walk into a store and buy the figures you want anymore. And in many cases, you can't even just click and order them online. We have to find other ways (clever, creative, or sneaky). If you take an extra cookie when your wife isn't looking because you know she'd scold you about your diet - - - that's being "sneaky" but it's not immoral. The cookies were there to eat and she doesn't care about the cookies. It's all about context. I just snuck some Easter gifts for my son's Easter basket upstairs to my bedroom.... I was careful to make sure he didn't see what I was doing. I was being "sneaky"..... is that immoral? I don't know if you are implying that I should feel guilty for buying two figures off of a Walmart pallet - but I don't feel guilty about it at all. Not in the least. Maybe you and I don't define the word "sneaky" in the same way. Guess what? I'm quite sure some of your secondary market sources got their figures the exact same way that cldbld and I did. Does that make you better for paying them double for doing it? Because in your mind - it's the "right thing to do?" Believe me - I would be very, very happy to simply order these buggers online and be done with all of this - - - but Walmart isn't giving us that option. I think this is the crux of it. To me, anything that doesn't seem fair or just to the people as a whole, or doesn't serve the greater good, is something I try my best to avoid. I'm not perfect, I do mess up sometimes, but I try my best. If I were to see a cart at Walmart that had the UE figures in a box, the most I would be willing to do would be find a sales rep and kindly ask if I could have a crack at it. If they said no, I'd either linger around the store until it was opened, or come back later. Sneaking a cookie out of your own cookie jar hurts nobody (except maybe yourself with the diet thing) But I have been in situations where I was working with people and I was dishonest them for my own benefit. That was 20 years ago and I still feel crappy about it to this day. Swore I would never do that again. Guess I'm just a goodie two shoes. I'm the kind of person who if someone undercharges me at the grocery store, I'm going back to pay the difference. I'm also the type of person who, when my favorite sushi bar, that I'm a beloved regular at, gives me free food, I feel guilty about it because everyone else there didn't get free food, why can't they have some too? (That said, when they give me free food, I will literally put the price of the food in the tip jar of the sushi chef. I'll pay for that food one way or another.) Just a me thing, I guess.

But it's not sneaky when everyone has a chance at looking at the pallets.
Walmart associates pull out pallets upon pallets for the overnight crew.
They start as early as 6 or 7 pm (judging from my store) so for about 4 or so hours everyone walking by has a chance to grab what they wanted.
If I'm at the store for 1 reason, and I see what I want, should I just go, nah I'll wait in the morning?
If this was target, absolutely I would.
But you really can't be doing that for Walmart.
Most people like myself would stock the rest of the case after I took what I wanted. I guess you can say that's my "good dead" for "bad dead" trade off. Not only did I work for free I gave them money as well. Nothing sneaky about it.

I wonder how long it will take the people bickering in this thread to realize that the actual root of their issue is Mattel/Walmarts dog crap distribution. If people could easily find figures in-store, *like they should be able to*, you wouldn't even be having this discussion.

You absolutely never know if any given store will receive any product. I’ve mentioned it a few times in other threads, I’ve NEVER seen one ruthless aggression ultimate at any Walmart in my area. Then I’ll get on Twitter and see pics of people fig hunting and it’s literal rows of RVD and Brock Lesnar…it’s 100% distribution/ordering.

Series 1 was solid enough and was happy I was able to pick them up with relative ease at market value in the UK.
Series 2 I think is wasted with the inclusion of Diesel ma total waste of a figure and even more so if there isn’t the fake Razor. Pointless.
RVD also poor imo for 3 and I would rather they left out ECW certainly for the time being.
Will be extremely disappointed if an XPac Raw Debut/Returns figure isn’t in the works.
Great line with plenty of potential

Hoping that somewhere down the line a BAF will be Commissioner Slaughter. Think that would be PERFECT for a BAF concept.

Great line with plenty of potential If that Disciple Build a figure was executed perfectly, with the right tan I would have got the series. But it clearly looks like a "Build a figure" toy if that makes sense. I guess you can head swap Kevin Nash to have Diesel attire from Summerslam 1995 but they didn't include his tattoo and the scale is probably inaccurate.

I will be getting 2 Kevin Nash figures.
1 to swap a head onto my E16 Diesel for a 96 look because he had brown hair from about November.
The E16 Diesel head will go onto fake Diesel. An arm & had swap will complete that.
I'll leave one MNW Nash alone & put an Outsiders shirt on him to match the Hall I've just done.
It'll work out great

Flair Forever do you have any pics of Bret without his jacket and potentially straight faced scan from the target Bret? I really can’t wait for my Harlem Heat preorder if we get them.

I have been to 8 different Walmarts in 2 states this week. Only one of them had even gotten the shipper and they’ve already sold thru and taken it down. What a mess.
