Hey all, I think this topic needs to be discussed and I'm curious what everyone thinks. This is in no way bashing Jazwares and all involved. I love this line and the fun it has given collecting.
- I think a major red flag since last summer has been bargain stores buying out Jazwares inventory. I've seen Ollie's, Dirt Cheap & Burlington as of late carrying the line. Were figures overproduced and there was a lack of shelf space at Walmart & Target? Crazy how last April, series 8 was out at Target & Gamestop, and now a year later they're rotting in Burlington for $5.99.
- Unrivaled 11 hit Ringside November 2022 if I remember correctly. 4-5 months later and the set is nowhere to be found at retail. My stores are flooded with pegwarmers, so how will new product come in?
- I don't really count the latest Walmart exclusives. They're just boring. A straight up repaint with a store exclusive sticker on the box... lame, in my opinion.
- What will happen? Will Ringside be the new go to for buying AEW sets? Hopefully they'll continue to carry them- considering how cheap they sold sets for during their holiday sales, I hope they don't give up.

You’re talking about UR11 but 10 never hit in full force, same with UM5. Just a case or 2 in my area. Kenny Supreme exclusive is nowhere to be found same with Supreme 2 at retail. I know certain people gonna come in here and say oh they talked to the company and they said it’s fine but as a consumer, not seeing any new product in store for 6 months kinda sucks. Every Walmart and Target near me is sitting on UM4 and UR8 leftovers

My local Walmart hasn't restocked Unmatched since Series 3 - aside from the Punk / Hangman exclusives - and haven't seen anything above Unrivaled Series 9 since around December '22. It's basically Unrivaled Series 9 + a few stragglers from prior series. I haven't seen anyone finding Unrivaled Series 10 or Series 11 at retail. I have no idea what the state of the line is at this point but it's really annoying since I mainly collect AEW figures at this point.

My stores have never even set up shelf space for Supremes
The store I work out is still getting cases every once in a while, we’ve had Unrivaled 10 and Unmatched 5 multiple times, those waves have definitely hit, the problem is once again the distribution
Even if it’s not dead, the line feels dead. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that AEW have been pretty good in most aspects of their business except toys. I hope they get Hasbro or someone that can actually produce figures when the contract is up

The Dark Order wave killed this line around me. They're everywhere.

Found the MJF WM exclusive Monday, that was the first AEW figure I've bought in store probably since the Punk/Hangman exclusives first hit. Its definitely took a lot of my excitement away,I get I can buy them online but being a MOC collector its not always that easy. Even with how great Ringside is with shipping,if I don't add a case to the figure, maybe 1 out of every 3-4 might come messed up. Then my OCD still makes me re buy it when I find it in store or try another from Ringside when they have a sale lol.

The Supreme Baker is clogging my area Targets. As is Nyla Rose(?) and Lance Archer. The last set I have seen at any area Target or Walmart is the set with the old school Jericho. Seriously Cody left AEW and it seems like this line hasn’t been the same since. Wasn’t Brandi heavily involved in merchandise? If so it seems like there’s been a major drop in that department for AEW.
And it seems like the quality of Jazwares product has dropped from material used to sculpts. The figures seem very rubbery and sculpts have lacked. I didn’t have any figures break until the Supreme Cody which I had three break when trying to turn the boots. One regular and two of the WalMart exclusive. Christian and Kingston were two figures I was really anticipating when announced and when I bought them the sculpts were so bad I was embarrassed for them and myself for actually buying them.
And to top it off now with the delays for getting new product out I am pretty much done with this line at this point. I have purchased three new AEW figures this year 1/14 I found the Target Darby, 1/31 I found a DB then on 3/4 I found a chase Cody. Other than that I haven’t seen any new product from them. I will still get that Pac if it ever sees the light of day as well as any Sting or Hangman they make but other than that I really don’t care in the line anymore.

They’ve been very hot and cold with me. Some figures I really think are great and others are either ‘meh’ or a total miss
If they addressed some scale issues, less cartoony sculpts and created more uniformity amongst skin tones then that would do wonder for their product imo. It’s disappointing having these figures be so easily customizable but what’s the point if skin tones don’t match?
Speaking of local distribution… most stores have had the same figures in the shelf for a year or more. Dork Order wave has rotted at many Walmarts around me and the Walmart Hangman is on another level of shelf warming. I’m talking HOF Tito Santana level
Overall, them being around is great for wrestling Figure collectors. They’re only a few years in so hopefully they improve but for me personally, they leave a LOT to be desired.

This is the perspective of a Canadian collector:
Buying wrestling figures in retail here has been terrible for a very long time. Ringside has been a very expensive 'go-to' for quite a number of years with Mattel Elites. I'd wager in my city I would only see every 4th wave of elites actually hit retail. When they did, they show up in big #'s, and then shelf-warm for a few months before finally disappearing and new ones show up.
Jazwares has been on a similar track, but if I'm being 100 it's actually better than Mattel in my area. Yeah the Dark Order wave still shelf-warms a bit, but we've had every 2nd unrivalled set hit, compared to every 4th elite wave hit. I've seen 5 different unmatched lines in person.
Currently on unmatched 5 and unrivalled 8 in retail, which compared to ringside released dates, tracks pretty concurrently with where we often have been at for Mattel elites compared to ringside releases. There have been exceptions for mattel for sure, but they're rare. Our stores seem to basically buy up wrestling figures quarterly and whatever comes, comes. TRU is better than Walmart by far for getting newer waves, but it's still really inconsistent. Like, at TRU I found a million NXT Aleister Blacks and we got full cases of the exclusive Liv Morgan and Paiges. But, then we'll randomly miss 3 waves of elites. It's just a gong show and online has been the way for a long time.
So in Canada at least, I have zero red flags for this line, just the continuous disappointment of retail stores and wrestling figures. The last time I was able to find anything in good time was the Jakks classic superstars line lol. So, it's been a hot minute.

Stores have given up on the line and gave the shelf space to Jazwares UFC.
