I did a Owen Hart Rebooking from last year, but I wanted to retrace another rebooking from Owen Hart to see if he wanted to stay in the WWF/WWE from 1999 through 2014.
Over The Edge 1999 - Owen Hart as the Blue Blazer defeats The Godfather to win the WWF Intercontinental Championship. After the Match. Owen ditches the Blue Blazer Gimmick for good and says that he is tired of doing gimmicks like The Blue Blazer and says that he doesn't need the Blue Blazer to be successful. All he needs is to be Owen Hart.
May/June 1999 - Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett still continue their tag team together although Owen is the WWF Intercontinental Champion, but they feel like they want the WWF Tag Team Belts back and then after they take the titles. They would take all of the WWF Gold, but Owen is none too pleased. Owen and Jeff both enter the 1999 King of The Ring Tournament. Owen qualifies by defeating Ministry of Darkness Member Viscera and Jeff Jarrett defeats Val Venis to advance as well. Owen and Jeff will face off in the quarterfinals.
King of The Ring 1999 - Owen Hart and Jeff Jarrett face off in the quarterfinals with the two having a good back and forth. Owen wins in 10 minutes in the quarterfinals. Jarrett is not happy, but after the match. They shake hands showing a tease of a turn between Owen and Double J. Owen advances to the semis to take on X-Pac, it's a back and forth between Owen and X-Pac, but unlike the 1994 King of The Ring. Owen does not win against X-Pac as X-Pac advances to the finals, it was Owen's time in 1994. But it's not his time now. After the Match. Owen and X-Pac shake hands showing good sportsmanship and that shows a tease of a face turn by Owen Hart.
Summer 1999 - Owen and Jeff still continue their tag teaming up with Owen still the Intercontinental Champion and Jeff Jarrett already capturing the European Title against Mideon on a RAW Episode on July 12, 1999. Owen and Jeff have all the titles and they wanna be double champions so they will challenge The Acolytes for the WWF Tag Team Championship.
Fully Loaded 1999 - Owen and Jeff challenge The Acolytes for the WWF Tag Team Titles and although it's a good tag team match between these four competitors. The fans get behind Owen more that it annoys Jeff so much. Owen and Jeff start to have a disagreement with each other which allows Owen to walk out of the match leaving Jeff by himself with the Acolytes retaining the titles over Jarrett.
Summer 1999 Part 2 - Owen and Jeff's tag team relationship begin to be in the rocks as they lose matches constantly, that on August 9, 1999. Owen gets beaten up by Jeff Jarrett. Jarrett hits Owen with the Intercontinental Title leaving Owen a bloody mess, the next week on RAW. Owen agrees to put the Intercontinental Title on the line at Summerslam if Jarrett agrees to put the European Title on the line. Jarrett accepts and we have the Eurocontinental Championship defended.
Summerslam 1999 - Owen and Jeff were originally scheduled to be the first match of the night, but Owen and Jeff talk to Vince McMahon about their match being moved up to fifth. Vince agrees to it and it is one of the best Eurocontinental Championship Matches in Summerslam but it ends drastically with Debra distracting Owen and allowing Jarrett to become the first ever Eurocontinental Champion.
Summer/Fall 1999 - Owen and Jarrett continue to feud, but this time it's Owen that costs Jarrett the European Championship the night after Summerslam against D-Lo Brown. Owen wants not only his Intercontinental Championship belt back but revenge against Jeff Jarrett. Owen and Jarrett will face off for the Intercontinental Title at Unforgiven in a two out of three falls match.
Unforgiven 1999 - Similar to their encounter at Summerslam, the two put on a back and forth encounter. Owen is close to putting Jarrett away, but Jarrett without Debra's help cheats on his own by retaining the Intercontinental Title against Owen Hart.
Fall 1999 - Jarrett and Owen agree to wrestle one more match, but this time in a loser leaves WWF Match for the Intercontinental Championship. The stipulation will also be a Street Fight Loser Leaves WWF Match.
No Mercy 1999 - McMahon wants Owen and Jeff to main event the show. Owen and Jeff have a bloody physical war with one another that goes 25-30 minutes being second best to The Hardys vs Edge and Christian in a Ladder Match. Owen recaptures the Intercontinental Title after making Jarrett submit to the sharpshooter as he recaptures the Intercontinental Title for the fourth straight time.
Fall 1999 Part 2 - After Jarrett's departure from the company. Owen goes on to make Intercontinental Title Open Challenges successfully defending them and becoming a proud champion, in his next open challenge in which he defeats Edge in a good sportsmanship match to retain the Intercontinental Title. Chris Jericho comes out and challenges Owen for the Intercontinental Title with Owen accepting at the 1999 Survivor Series.
1999 Survivor Series - Again, another good Intercontinental Title. Owen fresh off from his feud with Jeff Jarrett faces Chris Jericho in one of the most highly anticipated matches ever. This is a dream match to see considering that Chris Jericho was fresh off from WCW and he needed some new challengers to face in the WWF and Owen is definitely one of them. Jericho and Owen put on a good match, but it's Experience that beats Youth in their first encounter with Owen retaining the Intercontinental Title, But that's not it for Owen because Owen is pulling Double Duty. Owen replaces Stone Cold Steve Austin after he is being run over. This is Vince McMahon's reward for Owen for putting on great matches against Jarrett this past year that Owen now will finally get the spotlight he truly deserves. At the 1999 Survivor Series with help from Vince McMahon. Owen wins the WWF Title in a Triple Threat Match by defeating Triple H and The Rock by making Triple H submit to the sharpshooter. The crowd in Detroit are on their feet with Owen finally capturing the World Wrestling Federation Championship, the title that alluded him since he was a main event star in 1994.
Fall 1999 Part 3 - Owen is now a double champion, but the next night vacates the Intercontinental Championship, the Intercontinental Championship is held in a tournament and it is won by Chris Jericho. Owen makes open challenges for the WWF Championship and he successfully overcomes all challengers including his own brother in law Davey Boy Smith, Kane, The Godfather, Hardcore Holly, The Big Bossman, X-Pac, Viscera and others. But Chris Jericho now the Intercontinental Champion wants to win the WWF Championship and become a double champion just like Owen.
Armageddon 1999 - At Armageddon. Owen and Jericho put on another good solitary match but this time it's Owen that once again goes over Jericho by retaining the WWF Championship in his first WWF Title PPV Defense.
Winter 1999/2000 - Owen ends 1999 as the World Wrestling Federation Champion and is looking to start the new Millenium off as the face of the World Wrestling Federation, but sadly on January 3, 2000. Owen will unfortunately lose the title to Triple H. Owen begins to show signs of a heel turn by being called a jabroni by The Rock. And he successfully does by attacking The Rock. Owen declares that he won the WWF Title in 1999 and wants to win the 2000 Royal Rumble and to prove it, he would enter himself as the #1 entrant.
2000 Royal Rumble - Owen enters at #1 and stays in there for the longest amount of time scoring four eliminations eliminating Rikishi, Edge, Hardcore Holly and Val Venis and makes it to the final seven until he's eliminated by Chris Jericho rekindling their feud once again.
Winter 2000 Part 2 - Owen and Jericho will collide and clash again, but also Kurt Angle will join the feud because he's already been undefeated, so at No Way Out 2000, the three face off in a Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental Title, Kurt Angle is the European Champion. Angle, Owen and Jericho face off at No Way Out 2000 and it is the best match of the night although it opens up the show. But Angle will win the Intercontinental Title by pinning Owen as Jericho was not involved in the decision to lose the Intercontinental Title.
Spring 2000 - The feud between Owen, Jericho and Angle still continues, but now we must add a fourth man to the mix and that is Chris Benoit. At WrestleMania 16, all four of them face off in a 4-Way Match in a 2-fall match for the Eurocontinental Title,
WrestleMania 16 - Benoit wins the Intercontinental Title and that is kept, but Jericho does not win the European Title, it's Owen that wins the European Championship for the first time since 1998.
The Night after WrestleMania 16 - But the night after, Eddie Guerrero faces Owen Hart for the European Championship and captures the European Title and not only that gains Chyna as his love interest. Owen and Eddie would have a feud with one another with Owen wanting the European Title back, the fans get into Eddie more and more while Owen is still a villain, so the fans side with Eddie against Owen.
Backlash 2000 - Eddie and Owen face off for the European Championship and probably have one of the best matches for the European Title with one another. Owen tries to win back the European Title by using the sharpshooter but Owen gets rolled up by Eddie and Eddie retains the European Title over The Rocket. After the Match. Owen beats up Eddie and strips Chyna's dress off.
After Backlash - After Backlash, Owen and Eddie will once again feud at Judgment Day for the European Championship, Owen brutally attacks Chyna as a message to Eddie Guerrero. Eddie is upset and attacks Owen becoming enraged. So Owen and Eddie's match will be a 2 out of 3 Falls Match for the European Title.
Judgment Day 2000 - And once again Owen comes up short, cause that is three times that Eddie Guerrero has defeated him and he is able to retain the European Title.
After Judgment Day - After Judgment Day 2000, Owen is slowly moved up to the mid-card status but makes up for it as he advances to the round of 32 King of The Ring 2000 by defeating Faarooq and is able to make it to the quarterfinals by defeating D-Von Dudley, Owen faces Rikishi in the quarterfinals
2000 King of The Ring - Owen makes it to the elite eight and shockingly enough goes all the way defeating Rikishi and Val Venis and faces Kurt Angle in the finals where it's their first ever one on one encounter, Owen looks to make history by becoming the second man to win the King of The Ring twice similar to what his brother Bret did in 1991 & 1993. But he fails to do so as King Kurt triumphs, but the crowd applauds Owen for his efforts.
After King of The Ring - Owen decides to move on to another challenge, so Owen decides to face Kurt Angle with Owen going back into a face. Kurt accepts the challenge.
2000 Fully Loaded - It's a good scientific back and forth match between Owen and Kurt, the two go at it for a good 15 minutes. But it's Kurt that wins clean by hitting an Angle Slam off the top rope.
After Fully Loaded - After his loss against Angle, Owen decides to move back to the European Championship Scene, the title is now currently held by Perry Saturn. Owen and Perry get into a feud, but they are not on the Summerslam Card. However, the night after Summerslam. Owen Hart defeats Perry Saturn to win back the European Title for the third time.
Before Unforgiven - After winning back the European Title. Owen wants to chase after the 24/7 Hardcore Championship Division, the reason why I'm putting Owen in the Hardcore Championship Division is because Owen would be a part of the Hardcore Division and make the Hardcore Title relevant.
Unforgiven 2000 - Owen still as European Champion will be a part of the Hardcore Championship 10-Minute Challenge Match, he does win the Hardcore Championship, but Steve Blackman will walk out with the Hardcore Title.
After Unforgiven - Owen will feud with William Regal who returns to the WWF. Owen and Regal could've had some great feuds in the WWF with Regal being in the company in 1998. But creative had nothing for Regal although he was in the WWF Championship Tournament at the 1998 Survivor Series. So Regal was in rehab for drugs and returned to WCW until coming back to the WWF in the Fall of 2000. So Yea, Owen and Regal would've had a good feud with each other. Seeing as how Owen's feuds in Late 1999 and 2000 with Jarrett, Jericho, Benoit, Angle and Guerrero have been relevant.
No Mercy 2000 - Owen's reign as the European Champion comes to an end as William Regal will regain the European Title in a scientific match although it never goes long, it's just a 10-15 minute match, but Owen does the job for Regal.
After No Mercy - After, Owen and Regal will continue to feud for the European Title, And Owen will continue to feud with Regal for the title, but he goes on to win a Battle Royal to face Kurt Angle for the WWF Championship at the 2000 Survivor Series.
Survivor Series 2000 - Owen & Kurt will face off for the WWF Championship once again, Owen needs to prove that he's still at the main event level and he shows it by going the distance against Kurt for 20-25 minutes but Kurt will retain the title by using interference by Edge & Christian.
After Survivor Series - Owen despite not winning the WWF Championship gets another chance at Armageddon as he will be a part of the first ever 6-Man Hell In A Cell Match with Triple H, The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle and The Undertaker. Owen still has beef with the guys from the Attitude Era from 1997 and 2000. Owen has beef with The Rock because they never settled anything before the 2000 Royal Rumble. Triple H because Triple H took the title at the start of 2000. Stone Cold Steve Austin cause Owen broke his neck in 1997 and Kurt Angle in 2000 cause he wanted a title match.
Armageddon 2000 - Owen enters in the 6 Man Hell In A Cell Match and does pretty good for himself, he gets untop of the cell fighting with Angle and Undertaker. Owen tries to hit Angle with a chair to throw him off the top of the cell but Angle retreats, Undertaker is there with Owen and Owen attempts to throw Undertaker off the top of the cell through a flatbed truck, the flatbed truck Vince McMahon ripped off. But it doesn't work as Taker gives Owen a last ride through the flatbed truck throwing him off the top of the cell.
After Armageddon - Owen is injured after that fall from the top of the cell by The Undertaker. Owen starts to consider retirement as he comes out on Christmas 2000 walking with crutches says that the fall and the match made him retire. Undertaker regrets what he did but he had to do it for the World Wrestling Federation Championship. Taker is named the #1 Contender at the 2001 Royal Rumble for the WWF Title against Kurt Angle
2001 Royal Rumble - Just as Undertaker is about to put Angle away with the Last Ride after Angle had targeted Undertaker's legs. Owen Hart surprisingly walks to the ring but at first he limps with crutches but then enters the ring and starts to cheer Undertaker on but then he hits Undertaker with the crutch faking his retirement and turning him heel in the process. Angle retains the WWF Title over The Phenom, After The Match. Owen leads a physical beatdown on The Undertaker and busts him up and piledrives Undertaker into the steel steps.
After the 2001 Royal Rumble - Owen starts feuding with Undertaker saying that what Undertaker did at Armageddon, he could've been permanately retired for good. He could've been paralyzed in that match. Owen says that although what Taker did to Shawn Michaels & Mick Foley and that they have survived the fall. Owen is a survivor too. Owen says that he will injure The Undertaker and end The Undertaker for good and end his Decade of Destruction because he is the sole survivor.
2001 No Way Out - Owen faces The Undertaker's brother Kane in a match. Owen will have security with him as he brings in Rikishi & Haku as his insurance policies. Yes, Rikishi is a heel, but we will have Rikishi turn heel at the start of 2001. And he will not run over Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kurt Angle will be the culprit for running down Stone Cold Steve Austin by himself. Owen defeats Kane with help from his security by making Kane tap out for the first time by the Sharpshooter. Rikishi and Haku are paid to attack The Undertaker as well in a Handicap Match but The Undertaker disposes of them quickly.
Before WrestleMania - Owen wants the challenge of his life and that is try to do what no other man has done at WrestleMania, try to do what Jimmy Snuka, Jake Roberts, Giant Gonzales, King Kong Bundy, Diesel, Sycho Sid, Kane and Big Bossman couldn't do. He wants to break The Undertaker's streak. Undertaker says that Owen does not have the talent and skill to beat The Undertaker at WrestleMania. Owen says that he made history at WrestleMania 10 by defeating Bret Hart and won the Tag Team Titles with Yokozuna at WrestleMania 11 and sticking a win over The Undertaker would make him the greatest WrestleMania performer of all time. Owen tries to get inside Undertaker's head by handcuffing him beating him and bludging him with a led pipe with Rikishi and Haku still helping him out. Owen then destroys Undertaker's motorcycle with the same pipe and then goes into a graveyard digging a grave for The Phenom that sends Undertaker off the deep end injuring taking out Owen's henchmen and injuring Rikishi in a Last Man Standing Match by chokeslamming him through two tables on the staging area. Owen still not intimidated on the go-home show of RAW before WrestleMania costs Undertaker the Hardcore Championship against Raven.
WrestleMania 17 - Owen and Undertaker put on a great classic, despite Owen's size over The Undertaker, he is known to be extremely agile and almost pushes Undertaker to the limit by almost making Taker tap out to the sharpshooter and nailing two piledrivers to put Undertaker down but no matter what Undertaker keeps fighting. Taker and Owen brawl outside to the fans in the stands with the referee knocked out cold. Taker chokeslams Owen through a sea of WWE fans off a balcony. Amazingly Owen survives the fall and continues to fight by trying to put Taker away by using his signature enziguri and a led pipe busting up Undertaker but Undertaker kicks out. Owen attempts to win the match by trying to use The Undertaker's hold, the Tombstone Piledriver but Taker reverses it and tombstones Owen to the mat extending his streak to 9-0 in his hometown.
That ends the What if Owen Hart Never Died Attitude Era Story?. Part 2 will be written with Owen feuding with Undertaker and maybe another possible WWF Title reign.
