Pre Revenge:
At the end of 1993, The Undertaker has slayed all the giants and is now looking to get back at the top of the mountain to the WWF Championship, In September, The Undertaker now issues a challenge to Yokozuna for the WWF Championship, Yokozuna is flat out afraid of The Undertaker, it culminates in November when The Undertaker is replaced as Tatanka's partner for the 1993 Survivor Series. The two men at the 1993 Survivor Series are both counted out with Yokozuna slamming Undertaker into the steel steps but it had no effect on the Deadman.
1994 Royal Rumble:
After that, Jim Cornette gave The Undertaker the stipulation, a one time WWE Championship Match with Yokozuna and that if The Undertaker lost, he would not receive a title match again as Yokozuna is champion. Paul Bearer however turned the tables by making the match a Casket Match. Taker and Bearer spent most of the Royal Rumble building the double wide, double deep casket for the WWF Champion. Yokozuna however was deathly afraid of the casket. And it would take Yokozuna to have a gameplan to defeat The Undertaker. At the 1994 Royal Rumble, Undertaker dominated the match by hitting Yokozuna with everything but the kitchen sink including a violent chair shot. But as The Phenom was close to stuffing Yokozuna inside the casket. Yokozuna's friend Crush would run down to attack The Undertaker but The Undertaker fought him off, Tenryu and Kabuki then ran down to aid Yokozuna, but The Deadman would fend them off too. Cornette and Fuji attempted to steal the urn from Paul Bearer but Paul Bearer would take the urn back, but it didn't help Undertaker's case as more of Yokozuna's friends ran down to attack The Undertaker, but The Phenom defiant would use Yokozuna's salt bucket as a weapon to his advantage, but still was not enough, and when The Headshrinkers and Diesel were next to help out, the odds were too much, The Phenom was eventually taken down, and Yokozuna like a phoenix rose from the grave and stole Paul Bearer's urn and hit Undertaker in the face with it and then they opened up the urn to reveal green smoke from the urn with Vince saying that The Undertaker's powers were leaving him. After a few finishers, The Undertaker was finally stuffed inside the casket.
Post 1994 Royal Rumble:
But after the match, as Yokozuna and his buddies tried to take the casket to the locker room, The Gong of The Undertaker's music sounded as the motionless Undertaker appeared inside the casket, but then he rose up out of nowhere and did his speech stating that he would never rest in peace and then after an electrical explosion of the casket, The Undertaker levitated throughout the arena motioning that he would return soon, throughout WrestleMania X. The Undertaker did not return, but in the Spring of 1994. Everyone stated that they had seen The Undertaker, meanwhile Yokozuna lost the title at WrestleMania X and after hearing reports of The Undertaker's sightings. Yokozuna got himself threatened and terrified, I am skipping The Underfaker vs Undertaker storyline cause the revenge storyline is focused on Yokozuna, Before the start of Summerslam, The sightings of The Undertaker still continue, in June, Paul Bearer says that the sightings are true, they've seen The Undertaker all around the world.
Yokozuna will take on Lex Luger at Summerslam in the first ever Last Man Standing Match, the feud between Yokozuna and Luger will come to a head. Yokozuna defeats Luger in a Last Man Standing Match with help from Crush, after the match, The Lights go out as Undertaker's music plays, but Paul Bearer comes out with the Druids who are carrying a new double-wide-double-deep casket, Yokozuna is now frightened, Bearer then opens up the casket and many believe that the Deadman is in there, but Bearer opens the casket to reveal a giant urn from the casket. He gets in the ring, and Bearer picks up a microphone and tells Yokozuna that his Undertaker is back, Cornette picks up a microphone and says that if The Undertaker is back, then that there will be now an improrutu match between The Undertaker and Crush. Bearer accepts, then the lights go out in the arena again with Bearer opening up the urn to reveal a light coming out. Vince represents it saying that it's the Spirit of The Undertaker. Then through the purple light. The Undertaker emerges, he walks through the ring. Yokozuna is absolutely terrified but Crush doesn't seem so scared. After, Undertaker gets in the ring to take on Crush in where it is one sided. Crush hardly ever gets any offense in even hitting some punches and a piledriver on Undertaker but it's not enough to keep Undertaker down as Taker wins the match by hitting a chokeslam and a tombstone piledriver to get the victory. The Deadman is back and wants to get his hands on Yokozuna.
Revenge:
For the Undertaker's revenge. The people that aided Yokozuna at the 1994 Royal Rumble are being haunted in their matches, Jeff Jarrett, Bam Bam Bigelow, The Headshrinkers, Diesel and Adam Bomb are still in the WWF, despite both Bomb and Headshrinkers being faces, they are still haunted by the powers and the presence of The Undertaker. The Undertaker returns to RAW on October 3, 1994 against Jeff Jarrett in where Undertaker mercifully destroys him, Yokozuna however intereferes and hits Undertaker with the salt bucket and hits two leg drops on The Undertaker and attempts to go for the Banzai Drop. But Undertaker rolls out of the way and Taker with intensity begins to go after Yokozuna. Yokozuna and Undertaker exchange blows with superstars and officials trying to break them up. The rematch at the 1994 Survivor Series is set between Undertaker and Yokozuna this time in a casket match with Chuck Norris as the special referee to make sure history doesn't repeat itself. Taker is able to get the win despite intereference from Jeff Jarrett, Bam Bam Bigelow, IRS and King Kong Bundy.
Search for the WWF Championship:
After defeating Yokozuna at the 1994 Survivor Series in a Casket Match, The WWF Championship now is on The Undertaker's mind. The WWF Title changes hands twice at Survivor Series and 3 days after Survivor Series with Owen taking Bob Backlund's place defeating Bret Hart for the WWF Title in a Submission Match. But Owen will lose the title to Diesel on November 26, 1994 at Madison Square Garden. However, in order for The Undertaker to win the WWF Title. He wants to win the 1995 Royal Rumble. Taker is the odds on favorite to win it, he enters at the #1 entrant with Shawn Michaels as the #2 competitor. It's the first time Taker and Shawn wrestle in a one on one ring for a while. Taker and Shawn continue to stay and last longer with Undertaker getting the most eliminations with 10 eliminating Jeff Jarrett, Kwang, Tatanka, Irwin R. Shyster, Bob Backlund, Mabel, Crush, Headshrinker Fatu and Owen Hart until it's just him and Shawn again. Shawn, Taker, Owen and Bulldog are the final four with Shawn eliminating Bulldog and Undertaker eliminating Owen. Shawn almost eliminates Undertaker by hitting Sweet Chin Music but Taker tombstones him to the mat and throws him over the top rope and The Deadman will challenge for the WWF Title at WrestleMania 11 against Diesel. The Undertaker and Diesel start their rivalry with Diesel turning heel on The Undertaker in a tag team match with King Kong Bundy and Bam Bam Bigelow on Monday Night RAW with Diesel and Undertaker winning. Diesel then cuts a promo the next RAW saying that he doesn't owe the fans nothing for turning on The Undertaker. Diesel says that the reason he's WWF Champion is because there's a new era and it ain't the Hitman Era, it's not the Owen Era, it's the Diesel Power Era and that The Undertaker will rest in peace because the last time he made The Undertaker rest in peace was at the 1994 Royal Rumble when he helped Yokozuna retain the WWF Title against The Undertaker.
The Glory of Revenge:
After Diesel's heel turn and gloating over The Undertaker. The Undertaker breaks his silence and says that he never won the WWF Title in four years, in November of 1991. The Undertaker won the WWF Title and lost it for six days and never had a long reign with it. But after WrestleMania 11, he guarantees that he will have that belt for very long and Diesel will pay dearly for turning his back on him, Before WrestleMania, The Undertaker plays mind games on Diesel with Diesel's mic being cut off and his locker room filled with blood. Diesel however would get in The Undertaker's mind by going through some gravesites and vandalizing them as well. The Undertaker takes that as an insult and he and Diesel get into a pull-apart brawl on the go-home show before WrestleMania after Undertaker defeated King Kong Bundy, Superstars and officials try to break up the brawl between Diesel and Undertaker. New president Roddy Piper announces that Diesel and Undertaker's match at WrestleMania 11 would be a No Holds Barred Match for the WWF Championship.
The match is hard hitting for 20-25 minutes just when The Undertaker is about to win the title. Diesel fights back and hits two powerbombs on The Undertaker but Undertaker does not go down. Taker eventually fights back by hitting a superplex off the top rope, but Diesel pays off half of the WWF Superstars to attack The Undertaker similar to the 1994 Royal Rumble, he hires Jeff Jarrett, Hakushi, IRS, King Kong Bundy, Bam Bam Bigelow, Owen Hart, now heel Lex Luger, the debuting Hunter Hearst Helmsley and Crush. Everyone gangs up on The Undertaker, but The Undertaker has backup in the form of Tatanka, The Headshrinkers, The 123 Kid, Bob Holly, Razor Ramon, The Smoking Gunns and Adam Bomb, after the intereferees brawl all the way to the back. Taker and Diesel continue their fight for a few more minutes. Undertaker hits a chokeslam on Diesel onto the steel steps but it doesn't put Diesel down as Diesel kicks out of it. Diesel fights back and unmercifully hits Undertaker 10 times with a steel chair but still with the power of the urn. The Undertaker doesn't go down. Diesel tries to hit Undertaker with the urn but Undertaker counters and strikes Diesel with the urn knocking him to the outside. Taker then grabs Diesel by the throat and chokeslams him through the announce table. He grabs Diesel back in the ring and hits another chokeslam and grabs the steel chair Diesel used 10 times on The Undertaker and Taker whacks him in the head with it busting the WWF Champion open. Taker then takes off his gloves and hits Diesel with right hands busting Diesel up for good. Diesel's a bloody mess. Diesel does his best to fight back and he defiantly does by slapping The Undertaker in the face, but Undertaker grabs Diesel by the throat again and chokeslams him to the mat one more time and then finally finishes Diesel off with the tombstone piledriver to not only extend his streak to 4-0, but win the WWF Championship for the second time. The crowd goes wild for The Phenom winning the belt.
Defending The Belt:
After WrestleMania 11, The Undertaker makes good on his promise by having a long WWF Championship reign, he has his first title defense on a rare RAW appearance on April 17, 1995 defeating Crush in his first WWF Title defense. Diesel gets his rematch at the first In Your House, the match between the two is a Last Man Standing Match with Undertaker retaining the title in a Last Man Standing Match against Diesel, similar to WrestleMania 11. This is a big brawl between the two with both men being busted open meaning for the first time in WWF History that The Undertaker was busted open after Diesel hit him with the steel steps. Despite being jackknifed through wooden pallets. The Phenom fought through and chokeslammed Diesel to the mat breaking the ring with Diesel not getting up at the count of 10.
After defeating Diesel, The Deadman goes into another storyline with Ted Dibiase once again attempting to buy the World Wrestling Federation Championship from The Undertaker, cause of how Dibiase brought The Undertaker to the WWF at the 1990 Survivor Series. Undertaker simply refuses with the power of the urn saying that if Dibiase wanted the belt. He needed to get it the old fashioned way. At the 1995 King of The Ring. Dibiase enlists Sycho Sid and Bam Bam Bigelow to get the belt off The Undertaker. On June 5. 1995. Sid and Bam Bam both attack The Undertaker, they not only steal The Undertaker's urn, but the World Wrestling Federation Championship. Dibiase says that Sid and Bigelow will face The Undertaker at the 1995 King of The Ring in a Handicap Match for the WWF Title, after overcoming the odds. The Phenom retained the title against Sid and Bigelow in a Handicap Match, he reclaims the WWF Title but does not get his urn back. But Dibiase enlists Lex Luger after Undertaker retains the title against Sid at In Your House 2. Luger beats up Undertaker and destroys him with the urn after the match and causing Undertaker to have damage to his face. Luger then steals the WWF Belt meaning that the Million Dollar Corporation have stolen the WWF Belt.
Piper books a match between Luger and Undertaker for the title, but this match would be a Casket Match at Summerslam, Undertaker does cut promos on Luger but he is not seen with his face brutally destroyed by Luger. At Summerslam, The Undertaker returns using the Phantom of the Opera Mask and retains the WWF Title against Lex Luger in a Casket Match and recaptures the urn and takes the WWF Title back and Luger is headed to WCW. After retaining the title at Summerslam, Undertaker's next title defense is when he teams with Shawn Michaels who also defends the Intercontinental Title against the team of Owen Hart and Yokozuna at In Your House 2 who also defend their Tag Team Titles. Taker and Shawn close in on winning the WWF Tag Team Titles, but the 1995 King of The Ring. The British Bulldog comes out to help Owen and Yokozuna with Bulldog attacking Undertaker andthe match goes into a DQ, Owen and Yokozuna retain their titles. Taker and Shawn retain their respective belts. But Bulldog decides to cash in his Championship Clause against The Undertaker and he does at In Your House 3 with Bulldog winning by countout after hitting Undertaker with a running powerslam, but didn't win the title and that sets up the rematch at the 1995 Survivor Series with Undertaker finally losing the title to The British Bulldog after a 7-month reign, The Bulldog is now the World Wrestling Federation Champion, the Phenom's reign comes to an end, however. Undertaker will spend 1995 and 1996 trying to get that belt back, and at WrestleMania 13 on March 23, 1997. The Undertaker will regain the title for the third time defeating the Mastadon Vader and that wraps up The Undertaker's revenge.
