From the office of Lila Sleater: "Ever since the buyout, the new owners of the WFWF have been assessing and reviewing the way in which the WFWF delivers content to our fan base. We have been trying out new ideas with a mind to test the water and see how they are received, and it is with this information that the following decision has been made.
From here onwards WFWF will no longer run smaller televised shows with a build toward a more major Pay Per View. Instead we want to ensure that each show is of the highest calibre, and as such will instead run an ongoing series of biweekly PPVs, featuring a standard of competition and matches that previously would have been delayed until what was previously deemed a worthy pay off show.
For those wondering about the fate of WFWF mainstays such as Superbrawl, don't worry, we will run 2 'Super-shows' a year and are even looking into the possibility of cross promotional events.
The company's aim here is to deliver main event level matches more frequently with a focus on the championship belts, and a higher turn over of defences.
The first in this new format will be the next show 'Foundation', with a full card announcement coming later today. We are pleased to share this new venture with the Canadian fans as we continue our tour of the country.
Thank you."
