Is this not one of the best shows or what? Al bundy was one of the best TV characters ever imo. Figured I'd make a thread to discuss this show: it's still on once in a while and I love catching it.

Married With Children was one of those shows that was ahead of its time. You didn't see many controversial shows at the time. To be blunt, MWC is one of many shows from the '80's and '90's that hasn't aged well. It is good to sit back and watch and get a laugh, it hasn't aged well at all. Nobody could have played Al Bundy and better than Ed O'Neil. I am glad Ed O'Neil was able to find success after MWC's run. Same deal with Katey Sagal and Christina Applegate. Interesting timing you made this post about MWC. There is talk of doing a revival: www.cinemablend.com/television/Katey-Sagal-Totally-Down-Married-With-Children-Revival-77367.html

Its society that's aging poorly Al's insults are stuff of legend

One of my all-time favorite shows. Ed O'Neil's portrayal of Al Bundy is legendary.

This is one of those shows that I loved once upon a time but as I've gotten older it doesn't hold my attention.

I was watching it the other day and my 11 year old couldn't take his eyes off it. It was one of the best sitcoms ever.

Great show. And the show has aged fine IMO. S1 is a little hard to watch though.

One of my favorite shows ever. Al's one liners are epic. They're working on a revival centering around Bud's marriage and the original cast have all agreed to make cameos, really looking forward to it.

Wouldnt the rights be owned by FOX? That I imagine would cause a big problem with Ed Oneill who's contract is with ABC/Disney?

One of my favorites of all time and I think it aged just fine.
The Christmas eps are still amazing. I know I'm rare here but I preferred Steve as a character over Jefferson. That said I liked Jefferson better with Al.
And once No Ma'am came into play it got a breath of fresh air
