Didn't see a thread about this, but um yeah good thing they shot it down. That would of been the end of Brock for sure.

What a mess that would have been.
Brock Lesnar needs no gimmick. Period.

Well there is a follow up to this somewhere from a former writer that says it was an idea thrown around but it didn't go very far. He said there is some misinformation to this article. I don't think it would have worked for Brock personally.
I think the idea would be interesting if they revisited it today with another talent. If it would be handled correctly, of coarse. The problem is, if they aren't really gay the fans will see through it and it won't work. Fans today can smell "b.s.". If you are not tough, they won't buy you as a tough guy. If you aren't Jamaican, they'll see through it. And the same can be said for a gay character. If WWE wants to do this, they would have to find the right talent.

Oh god that would have been terrible. If they do it today with a big guy who is actually a gay it'd probably get people on board

i can't even imagine lesnar pulling that off. the guy seemed uncomfortable in his character, particularly in his first run, and camera shy. that character would've required some charisma to pull off. lesnar is many things but a great talker is not one of them.

What a mess that would have been. Brock Lesnar needs no gimmick. Period. If they'd done it and done it right, then his gimmick wouldn't have been 'gay'. It would have been Brock Lesnar being unstoppable/exactly the same as he was and also being homosexual, to ideally combat peoples preconceived perceptions of homosexuality. Of course I'm sure what we would have got was Lesnar becoming a tasteless stereotype, but an idea like this doesn't have to be a complete flop.

Which is great in principle, but it's hard for me to believe WWE would have taken that high road, given the way things like this usually go. See: Billy & Chuck.

I could see this gimmick offending the gay community. Knowing Vince he would have made Brock go out in bedazzled shorts and high heeled boots.
