Was there a reason for this? I heard that Vince and Stephanie both don't like him, so is that why?

'Cause he lost a match against Matt Hardy where the loser can only wrestle on Heat. I honestly have no idea. Raven should have been so much more in that company.

It was his idea, wasn't it?

I thought it was his idea to go to Heat where he would get more TV time and thus have more creativity with his character.
I think he had a whole storyline planned out but it didn't happen.

He had a great storyline based of the 7 Sins from the movie "Seven." Of course it was too complicated for Vince and got axed before it began.

Probably a few reasons. He really didnt fit the mold of a superstar in the late 90s, early 2000s concept of what a wrestler should look like. He was in the wrong era. Also, I recently watched Perry Saturns shoot interview. Raven was a huge drug addict/partier. Who knows what his backstage rep was like.

Didn't Tommy Dreamer beat him on Raw to make Raven go to Heat??
But yes, the 7 Deadly Sins thing was Raven's idea there. I watched the RF Video shoot with Stevie Richards and he was saying how when he, Raven, Goldust and the rest were always on Heat, that they pretty much got away with whatever they wanted. Nobody watched Heat. Vince, Stephanie, nobody. So Stevie had "Stevie Night Heat" and such, and was the GM of Heat and nobody knew of it. Stephanie found out when she saw Stevie wearing a cooking apron that said "Stevie Night Heat General Manager" or something along those lines, and Stephanie then got mad and started to watch Heat and stopped a lot of stuff that was going on.
Also, Vince didn't like Raven because in 1994, Raven would take Shane McMahon out drinking and drugging all the time. Shane and Raven were best of friends then, and Raven even had a job at WWE offices and had his own office there, and was the producer of Raw and such. But he opted to leave and wrestle in ECW. So Vince wasn't too keen on Raven cause of getting Shane all hammered all the time, and because of how he walked away from the WWE then when he had a nice job all set up.

Good stuff. Stevie Night Heat ruled.

TBH, outside of the bingo hall...The Raven character never had any interest to me. He really wasnt fit for WCW or WWF.

So just like NXT: Redemption? The Raven storyline that he had pitched would've been incredible if he'd actually been allowed to play it out.

I'm with Nivro, outside of ECW, I never thought much of him. He was entertaining in ECW, but seems like he was always fighting Dreamer, when I watched, who I never cared for.
Right or wrong, I could never take the guy too seriously because of Scotty Flamingo and Johnny polo. Who were those 2 guys going to beat up? ECW he was solid outside of there; meh

I always loved the character but he never seemed to fit in WCW or the WWF during the Monday Night War. ECW was perfect for him. However, put Raven in his prime in the WWE during 2008-present and I think he'd have been a main eventer (atleast on SD). Him feuding with Jeff Hardy or CM Punk would have been gold during that time.

I always liked Raven. He never seemed to be in the WWE at the right time. A lot of potential in that character though.

The main thing I remember about Raven on Heat was when he came out with the dreadlocks and King essentially buried him by saying He has more extensions than at&t. Seems like when some of the big wigs have an issue with someone they're reasoning to get back at them is to crap on them on commentary. Such a playground bully thing to do

The best thing for Raven was when he lost to Jeff Hardy on Raw in early 2003 and left the WWE. His entry into TNA jump started his career and he had some of the best matches of his career in 2003 against Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles and Shane Douglas.

I always felt Raven didn't get his fair shake in 2001. He was awesome but they just made him a jobber. Tom Pritchard once told me that Raven was too smart for his own good. He didn't elaborate after that.
