There is an acceptable explanation to not release them individually at retail.... There is no logical explanation as to why they don't release accessory packs exclusively online.
First excuse was licensing issues, then it turned to retail shelf space etc...
$125+ price point is still just too high. I could see an ASR w/Elimination chamber going for that much, but not a basic cage..
I definitely feel WCT pulled a fast one on us

As Jeremy explained, it's also a matter of retail space. Where are they going to put them? WCT doesn't have much retail space now as it is and Mattel, rightfully so, isn't going to give them any of theirs. Retail drives more of the decisions on what and how things get made than you would think. While it's never been said, I think Mattel, in part, made the Elite boxes smaller so that they would fit on the retail pegs better. The old boxes didn't fit Walmart's resets very well when they changed them last year and I'm sure Walmart let them know. Unless I'm missing understanding you, that doesn't make sense. Wouldn't an accessory pack be smaller than a ring w/ cage?

If WWE wants you to include rings, I get it. But then you come back and say you don't have a lot of retail space, which should support your vision for just an accessory pack? Or are they saying they can't have their ring and space for an accessory pack?

Hopefully Ringside is able to get at least 1 of the cages as a separate accessory pack without buying another ring. I can't see the ring selling at 125.00-150.00 at retail. If they do an elimination chamber or cell they might be near 200-250. If Mattel can sell a cage separately so can WCT especially since the WWE section as enough shelf space

Wouldn't an accessory pack be smaller than a ring w/ cage? Yes, but it still needs an allocated spot on the retailers shelves. WCT doesn't have any space to give up so that they can cut in an accessory pack. In some retailers, the only space they have in the wrestling section is for the ring.

I'll be buying mine online. I can't IMAGINE how many scumbags will open, take the cage and return. I am sure lots of people will be doing this....

According to @wickedcooltoy's tweet, the accessory packs weren't coming until the fall anyway. I wonder when will get the ring plus cage now?

Screw that I'll make my own cage now. I would have held out buying the ring for one with a cage.

Forget this, I'm gonna make my own ring... with blackjack, and hookers! In fact, forget the blackjack

I won't be buying another ring. I can live without a cage.

I was going to buy the classic cage for the ESR, but I won't be buying one if it comes with a ring. The price point will just be too high, and I don't need another ring. I could always sell one and may look into that when the time comes, but I doubt I fool with it. Disappointing, but I know WCT have their reasons.

I think WCT might've shot themselves in the foot with this blunder. $80 bucks for a couple of ring skirts and a cage is rough. They'll be at Big Lots in no time. Haha

Haha Hell even the Mattel version of the ESR just randomly came back in stock on mattels site haha WCT has everything stacked against them, can't screw it up like this with a false announcement... Then force us to pay double what we would be paying for just the cages

But I just bought the Ringside ASR during black Friday, plus I already have an ESR and RSR, so another ring for me is useless. Collecting is already expensive as is with all the awesome figures Mattel keeps pumping out.

I want both cages but what the hell am I going to do with two more rings?! Selling is an option but I don't think we'll sell them for more than 30-40 open each

I'm still on the fence about buying the first WCT ring, the add-on accessories would have sold me.

That's a shame. I don't want the ring but I had thought about getting the classic cage pack to use for my figure display.
Oh well. It's no big loss for me, but I do feel bad for the others who have already spent so much money.

Should be interesting to see how these do sell...I think it was a very bad move.
