Source: Lord of Pain- As noted, Justin Gabriel quit WWE this past weekend, after signing with WWE in 2008. Gabriel requested his release from WWE officials because he realized he was in a position where the company was not going to do anything else with him beyond Superstars, Main Event and NXT. Gabriel being pulled from the Royal Rumble main event may have been the last straw. Gabriel wanted more than what WWE was giving him for his pro wrestling career and is looking forward to working the indies. Gabriel will be working as PJ Black from here on out. MORE:- We noted earlier that Justin Gabriel quit WWE because he was tired of how he was being used and is looking forward to building his name up on the indies. Gabriel had been looking at other non-wrestling opportunities for some time and apparently one of those gigs may have come through. Gabriel did some modeling and acting before signing with WWE.

Last year, CM Punk sacrificed himself for us. And the result was Daniel Bryan being placed in the main event of WrestleMania. This year, it was ing Justin Gabriel.

Good on him; there is still a lot of great talent on the indies, just depends where he wants to go...

It took him this long to realize he was never going any where in WWE?

Gotta respect the guy. He loves wrestling so much and wanted to be used so badly that he walked away from guaranteed money for a chance to work more. That takes balls when the only other option is TNA. It's scary out there on the indies. I wish him the best of luck. Hopefully for his sake, he finds some work and gets some eyes on him and gets a regular gig with regular pay sooner rather than later.

I enjoyed him when he had that tag team with Tyson Kidd.

I really liked him but I'm not surprised WWE treated him like dirt and it makes me mad.

I think he got a lot of new sympathizers for quitting because of his position. I don't think other guys in the low card would have the guts to ask for their release as long as they get their money.
I'm happy to see him back on TV whever he decides to go to TNA or back to the WWE (hopefully with a bit more screentime...)
