It wasn't just Sting losing, it was a kaleidoscope of illogic. The unrelated HHH cyborg jetpack was too close to Robocop for Sting's PTSD. Hall and Nash are HHH's buddies, nWo are Sting's enemies not allies, nWo and DX were counterparts not enemies, neither one had anything to do with any of this until the match, and the handshake was ridiculous after attacking him with a sledgehammer. Leading up to this this they said it does have to do with WCW, then it doesn't, SWERVE, it like totally does! I don't know if everything went as planned but that was a mess not great storytelling, and I keep seeing people posting it was great symbolic storytelling. That's like saying Peter Griffin's production of The King And I was great storytelling.
The parts of the match that were a match I liked and I laughed like crazy, but afterwards I couldn't help but feel like it doesn't matter what their plan is or was with that, that isn't what Sting's ridiculously long awaited debut should be. Just Keystone wrestler mayhem with a badly trolled legend named Sting. It reminded me of Hogan Warrior 2 and Starrcade 97. Then Rock came out and crapped on the Terminator role-play and Ronda Rousey is the one who ends up getting the best of HHH right after he trounced Sting and had him kiss the ring. The End.
Please tell me how you would make this more ridiculous? Choreographed dancing and lots of dry ice, ok sure.
edit: To be fair, HHH's entrance might have come off much much better in the dark. That more than anything else probably suffered from the sun. And I really liked Sting's entrance, reminded me of Muta.

I also thought Rollins/Orton was awesome. Might be the only one who thought so Lol I thought it was a great match.

Triple H's retirement match will be an Aggro Crag match if he continues this way. And Robosaurus will make a run in.

WWE should have used the middle finger as the stage because Wrestlemania 31 was one big you to anyone who thought this was going to be a bad show. Apart from the super long Authority, Rock and Ronda promo, WWE was firing on all cylinders start to finish. 9.99999999999/10

Ladder match was good, but truthfully nothing we haven't seen before from money in the bank and such
Orton vs Rollins was also good, but lacked a bit of heat imo. Only the finish seemed really Wrestlemania worthy. Decent match still.
Triple H vs Sting was some strange crap. Feels like someone pulled the plug on this being a proper match pretty late, and they decided to just turn it into a nostalgiafest. WWE's obsession with the Monday Night Wars still amuses me, as does their complete disregard for the actual history of it.
As I said last night, Triple H winning was the most WWE thing ever. The revisionist lord of the attitude era that literally took down the competition by showing up in a tank one day with his squad of midcarders taking down WCW guy #23. No real harm done there though truthfully, the match was fun and I'm not gonna get too upset by H killing the momentum of a 50 year old.
The Rock's 12 hour segment probably could have been good if it was like 10-15 minutes, but man it dragged pretty hard. Could have had Goldust vs Stardust.
Rusev vs Cena was aight. Truth be told it was never going to surpass Rusev's entrance, which may have actually been the best thing in the history of the world ever. Cena's stunner thing came close.
Wyatt vs Undertaker was also ok. I mean the dropoff in importance of Undertaker matches at Wrestlemania in just 1 year is pretty insane. Between the loss of the streak and the poor build up it was pretty tough to get into this one for me. Just felt like it was being done for the sake of it. Match was slow, had a good final minute or so though.
The divas match happened.
Main Event went above and beyond expectations. Reigns and Lesnar both looked legit as hell, just pretty much beat each other up. Really wanted Brock to win, but the finish was classic and it's great to see Seth get his moment.
So yeah. The ending stretch was great, and nothing was really bad. Pretty good Wrestlemania.

I enjoyed the show for the most part.
Tag Match I enjoyed considering Kidd, Cesaro & Kofi were the only ones in it I like. I was glad with the outcome. Couldn't care less for El Torito's involvement.
Battle Royal thought from the beginning Mix and Mizdow would make it to the final three. With Mizdow turning on Miz and winning after they eliminated the third. They actually got me thinking Mizdow was going to pull it off. But I had no problem with Big Show winning it was his year.
Ladder match honestly ever since Murcury injured his eye in one I've not been a fan of the six man ladder matches because I find them to be to dangerous. I am not an Ambrose fan, but I hope he is OK. Glad Bryan is the I/C champion, but thought the "head butting" sequence looked very cheesy.
Rollins vs Orton great match with that RKO being the move of the night in my opinion. Odd seeing Randy in elbow pads and red. Never liked him in red. (actually not a big fan of red in general and there's only a few times I have liked red as the primary color)
Sting vs Triple H didn't like the Terminator entrance (first thought was RoboCop all over) both guys looked in great shape. But personally even though the match had some sloppy moments I wish the focus was on just them. I never wanted to see DX vs the NWO back at the height of the MNW's so I didn't need to see it last night. (That was the he one thing about the show I didn't like) and Sting not winning was my first surprise of the show. As for the hand shake I thought it was out of a new respect for each other, but it didn't play out well or make sense. Neither did the kliq fighting each other after they were best buddies closing out the HOF the night before.
Divas match I guess they have gotten better, but I am still not a fan of the division.
Cena vs Rusev as many know I have never been impressed with anything Rusev has done in the ring. But last night when he climbed the ropes for the headbutt I was impressed. And I felt I enjoyed the match more than I figured going into it.
Rock segment was OK, but it felt to long for me.
Taker vs Wyatt sorry but seeing 21-1 as he was introduced took all of Taker's wrestlemania mystique and allure away. I've watched every WM match he has had and I always felt goosebumbs and thought it was going to be a special moment while he made his way to the ring. This year I didn't feel any of that because of that "1" in his record.
Main event I felt all along it would be OK with the two of them beating the holy hell out of each other with Rollins walking out champion after he picked the bones of the winner. So seeing Seth walking out as champion wasn't the surprise. To me it was that he came out to cash in before the match was over.
All in all it was a very entertaining WrestleMania.

My Mania thoughts....
1. Happy Cesaro/Kidd retained it was the right call and good opener.
2. Big Show was not the right call to win the Battle Royal but I'm not sure who was, I'm not sure on Mizdow or Ryback. Big Show works as a name for legacy reasons. Think it was how dominant show looked that bothered me more. Also thought this was leading to Reigns/ Lesnar happy that doesn't seem to be the case.
3. Ladder match was good but for me you've seen one you've seen them all, still felt like some deserved more while others deserved less. Luke Harper is money!
4. Orton/Rollins turned out to be my second favourite match of the night but it was probably the best match of the night. Finish was great.
5. HHH/Sting was fine, for me I prefer for things to make sense and i didn't get the DX/NWO interference and the handshake afterwards also wound me up especially after HHH came out later and trashed Sting.
6. Divas match again was decent was glad it got a decent amount of time. Actually this show was timed very well until the Rock segment.
7. Rusevs entrance was A* up there with the best. Match was good but the result not being in doubt hurt the crowd a little.
Crowd in the outside arena is not always great
8. Undertaker/Wyatt. Taker looked well, found the match to be a little slow, think Taker was trying to work the concussion from last year into the match but it wasn't picked up on. Taker sold well. Was a little disappointed in Wyatt but again another good match.
9. Lesnar/Reigns - Supflex City routine will never get old. Loved how this felt like a fight. The blood helped Reigns. Even before the gash on the head Brock was cut under the eye and from the mouth. Loved how stiff the match was. They made me feel like neither man would give up
THEN... Rollins cashing in it made a good event memorable. Great moment. Title picture for the next year or so is set while Reigns as the top guy needs a lot of work and I'm his biggest doubter well after HeelRyan, Mania made Reigns look great.
WWE needs credit here they got the Main Event spot on. Bring on Raw tonight and this is coming from guy who has watched one episode of Raw in full since the Royal Rumble.

I haven't watched WWE in a long time but I got WWE Net Work last night just to check out WM. I gotta say I marked out quite a few times! It was a great show from open to close. Kinda made me a fan again and makes me wanna check out RAW tonight lol. WWE put on a great show with some good spots. The DX vs NWO was just totally amazing as well as the veterans showing up for Daniel's post match interview. The Ronda/Steph/Rocky part totally surprised me and had me rolling laughing. 5* show.

Took an hour before I eventually got to sleep after the show cause I was so damn hyped and was booking the next few months in my head haha! Just saying, Brock being busted open added so damn much to that match, added so much psychology - without the blood it would have looked so goofy, but the blood added an emergency to it all and you felt Reigns' battle to knock the big guy down. This.

I felt as though it was a total trash build up the show was bound to be good and it over delivered and was spectacular.
My only issue with the entire show (aside from being totally in daylight) would be that HHH went over Sting. It's not like he beat him clean, but literally hammered his legacy into the ground. I didn't like the cluster of the NWO/DX thing because if anybody ever watched the MNW, NWO was Sting's bane of existence.
I felt that Sting should have beaten HHH with a SDD and after the match HHH extends his hand for a shake and then attacks Sting, which leads to DX coming out and ganging up, then NWO comes out and looks to help Sting but join in on the beat down as well.......then Flair, Double A, Booker T, and DDP come out and save the day and celebrate with Sting. The match should have been one on one with a clean decisive finish, and save the nostalgia for post match.
Honestly, it is not even that HHH won, it is that Rousey made him look like a total bitch after he beat Sting. Now I know why Sting was protective of his character post-WCW and didn't want to be misused here. Tonight was a prime example of why it took 14 years to jump ship because of stupid crap like this.
Other than that, this was one of it not the best WrestleMania's I have ever watched.

OK, my thoughts on the show:
1. Tag Team match was awesome, Glad Cesaro and Kidd got the win. 2. Andre battle royal was good, though Big Show winning it seemed stupid to me. 3. Intercontinental Ladder match, didn't see much of this as I had a few minor streaming issues with the Network. What I did see of it though was great! 4. Orton vs Rollins was decent, though I didn't really enjoy it. 5. HHH vs Sting. F*****G stupid! DX and the nWo getting involved was ridiculous and not needed. I waited 14 years to see Sting in a WWE ring, and they completely balls it up. I loved HHH's entrance though, and Nash grabbing his quad when he went down, that was frickin' hilarious! 6. Divas match was great! Glad they got some actual time to have a proper match. Got annoyed with AJ constantly being knocked out, but at least she made Nikki tap like a little b***h! 7. Cena vs Rusev. My God, Rusev's entrance was fantastic. Disappointed that he didn't win, but we all knew that would happen. 8. 'Taker vs Wyatt. Match of the night for me! Both their entrances were brilliant, the match was miles better than I expected, and 'Taker redeemed his loss from last year. Selfishly, I hope 'Taker's got a few more left in him yet. 9. The Main Event. SUPLEX CITY, B***H! Loved seeing Reigns getting the crap beaten out of him. Wanted Lesnar to win, but Rollins is a good alternative.
On another note, the segment with Rock/Rousey and The Authority went on waaaaaaaaayyyyyy too long. Damn though, Rousey looks good! All in all, it was a pretty decent show.

Can I have Trips and Steph vs. Ronda and Rock next year?
Just please, for the love of god, no Rock/HHH singles match.

It's probably been said 100 times already (I read through the last five pages, but I'm not reading through the other 259), but the Lesnar/Reigns match was some inspired booking. I have to give Vince and company credit. They painted themselves in a corner that should have been impossible to get out of without doing some long term damage, but they found a way to do it. Brock is still the Beast, Reigns gains some respect and escapes with his career intact, and Seth is even further cemented in his position as the company's top heel.
Very well done.

I would be thrilled if HHH never wrestled again. He thinks he's a much bigger draw than he actually is. Forever in the shadow of HBK, Austin, Rocky, Taker and Foley. I'll be damned if he faces The Rock next year.

I've watched Seth Rollins cash in and win about 15 times now.
It never gets old.

Though the build up for this Mania was horrible IMO, the show last night was so much better than I expected, I'm glad I kept my expectations very low this year. Now I didn't like it as much as I liked last year's, but it was a great Mania, despite a couple disappointments in certain finishes in the match. I'm glad that Cesaro and Tyson Kidd retained the titles, the tag match itself was great for it being 10 minutes. I was a little confused as to why they took Jey out of the match early. As much as I like the Usos, I did not want them to win, though I wouldn't have been upset if they did. The Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal was, well it was basically a dark match battle royal with a couple top guys. I was disappointed that Axel got eliminated first, though it made sense. I was disappointed that Hideo Itami didn't make it to at the most the final 10 like I expected, so I'm glad Neville didn't win. I was expecting Ryback to win the battle royal. I popped for Mizdow eliminating Miz. I'm looking forward their feud. I was on the edge of my seat when they were teasing that Mizdow could eliminate Big Show. When Mizdow was eliminated and Big Show, I was like, "Ugh!" It was horrible, though I'll admit it made sense. They should have had Big Show win the first one last year and then have someone like Ryback win this year.
I liked that the opener was the ladder match. The spots were good. I'm not sure if they showed Ambrose bleeding from the ear, cause I read later on that he was bleeding from the ear after his spot. I honestly missed a couple spots from the match because I was in the kitchen cooking for the party I had with my family. Daniel Bryan winning was expected. Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins was a great match. That curb stomp jump into an RKO was an awesome spot at the end that I didn't care that Orton won, even though I was rooting for Rollins. I was surprised that HHH vs. Sting went on so early. I didn't get Sting's entrance. I was "What the hell is this?" when I saw that. Triple H's entrance though was great. The match was good for what it was. I didn't notice Triple H's leg the way it was until my mother pointed it out. That looked horrible. DX and the nWo interfering was surprising. When HHH won the match, I was pissed. However, I did like the handshake in the end. The divas tag team match was what it was. It would have been so much better if we had a 4 way for the Divas title. AJ and Paige winning wasn't surprising. I loved Rusev's entrance. Last night I became an honorary Russian by how much I was rooting for Rusev. The match felt too short IMO. It was still a good match, but not as good as Fastlane. John Cena winning was not shocking, but I still was upset that he won cause I was hoping Rusev would win. Hopefully the feud is over after this, cause if this feud carries on to Extreme Rules, then I would say that Rusev's push is screwed cause I don't see Rusev winning. At least they had Lana distracting the referee so at least there was some sort of excuse as to why Rusev lost, so him losing last night did not harm Rusev's push in any way, though I don't know where he goes from here. I loved Bray Wyatt's entrance with the scare crows coming to life as he walks by them. Undertaker looked better this year than last year. I can see why people had thoughts that he would return as Big Evil or American Bad Ass Undertaker by his look. The match was good, though it wasn't as good as Undertaker's matches usually are at Mania. Taker winning was expected, as they weren't gonna have Taker lose two matches in a row as that would ruin the whole "Lesnar is the ONE in Twenty-ONE (well now TWO) and ONE" talking point. Speaking of Lesnar, the main event was next. That match was brutal and I marked out every time Lesnar gave him a suplex. The crowd was full on s*** on Reigns mode. When Rollins came out to cash in his briefcase, it was something I was not expecting and I marked the f*** out. Even my older brother, who normally sits there and enjoys the show without really reacting to much, marked out. We had to explain to our father what was going on as it happened. When Rollins won, both me and my brother jumped up from our seats and marked out as if we were at the show. This felt like a real Wrestlemania moment. This was also the first time that not only did someone cash in at Wrestlemania, but the first time someone cashed in during the match. Oh, I forgot to mention the Rock's segment with HHH. That went too long, but being a huge Ronda Rousey mark, I liked it.
I would give this Wrestlemania a 7.5 out of 10. I can't wait for tonight's RAW, and I can't wait for next year's Wrestlemania, which I will make my mission to go.

Not the greatest mania ever but I was pretty entertained all night which was great since the build up had me caring very little. But typical wwe, crappy build = good fun show.
