Did we all watch the same PPV? I just watched it an aside from Kane vs. Ryback I enjoyed the entire PPV. If you're complaining about Cena winning then you should just leave because it was a given he was going to win after the chance of his title match being taken away was added. You knew he was going to win so don't complain that he did. I thought it was entertaining. I think after Raw I'm gonna stay off here for like a month and see if I enjoy the product more without all of you constantly complaining. I agree with this!!!! 100%

After watching this PPV I REALLY can't wait to see NXT superstars save the Main Roster.

There was a big brawl between 2 fans that resulted in one getting dragged away and ejected.

I thought the PPV was decent overall.
Ziggler vs Harper was MOTN. It felt like an older style ladder match to me. They just beat the crap out of each other, rather than moving from one ladder spot to the next.
Tag Title match was decent. Didn't really like the finish, but I guess they want to continue this feud and keep this Miz/Naomi thing going.
Show vs Rowan was ok, but a bit too long. I hated that Show won, but obviously know now why he did.
Cena vs Rollins was good. It kept them both strong (when doesn't Cena look strong?) with the double table spot and also having Reigns ultimately costing Rollins the match.
Aj vs Nikki was alright, but it felt a little flat. Who does Nikki feud with now?
Rusev vs Swagger was short. Something happened in the crowd, which drew their attention away from the big reversal by Swagger from the Accolade into the Ankle lock and obviously took away from any crowd pop for it.
Ryback bs Kane was good enough. I think the gimmick matches like chairs match or stairs match do not help overall, but they did their best with it. Ryback wins, which is the right thing to do.
Ambrose vs Wyatt was good, surprised it was the main event. The finish was different, but it made Ambrose look like an idiot, rather than protecting him. I get that they were going with he will do anything to win, but it was a bit silly.

Did it top R Evolution? No
Was I entertained throughout the PPV? Yes. Excluding the Divas match, I've given both of them plenty of chances but I find neither of them entertaining.
That ladder match was brutal af. I bet both guys are sore today.
I know Ambrose doesn't have to win every match, but c'mon he needs to once in a while.
8/10

I was at TLC last night and I came away throughly entertained. I'll reserve total judgement until I watch it back on the network but I'd go 7.5/10. Some thoughts from the show: A lot of people in my section left after the CENA match, which is crazy since it went on so early. Must've been the parents with little kids.
Ziggler is so so over and he's even easier to pull for live.
I hope this is the last stairs and chairs matches ever. Having that many gimmick matches on one show is so forced and takes away from the novelty of a stipulation. That said, I felt they both did the best with what they had and the boring chants were unfortunate.
There was a fight in the audience during the rusev match so any YES chants were directed at that.
The Ambrose explosion spot actually came off pretty well live. Wyatt needed this win more.
Reigns return popped huge (was hoping for Orton).
Just once I would like to sit around some people who are a good mix of into the show but don't actually think this is real life. Currently I'm 0 for 3 at PPVs lol

The show was fine. Nothing spectacular, nothing bad. It was just there. Like Hell in a Cell, it suffered from a mostly meaningless card that I'll forget about in a week. WWE has tried really hard to create meaningful feuds in the absence of the Championship, and I commend them for that, but for the most part, it hasn't really worked.
Ziggler/Harper stole the show, and it wasn't even close. I very much enjoyed the tag title match and Ambrose/Wyatt. The rest of the show was pretty much throwaway for me.

It wasn't as bad as some people have made it out to be. I thought it was pretty decent considering the terrible build up and it being a December PPV. Ziggler/Harper was bloody great, although I'm surprised neither of them got legit injured with a couple of the bumps. Cena/Rollins was pretty good and Reigns got a good pop when he returned. Wyatt/Ambrose was good too, although I'm a huge fan of both. The ending of the match was stupid but at least it was original. Nice to see Bray win a main event on PPV.

I'm trying not to be too harsh here, but I give the PPV a 5/10 at the most. I'm trying not to get caught up in the hype of NXT but after watching their show and then this show, the problems with WWE main roster is glaring. Having no Championship match is stupid and hurts the PPV's. But I guess I'll talk about each match:
Ziggler/Harper: Very good match. Being a title match where I couldn't 100% predict the winner always helps a match. Ziggler is really picking up steam but as we all know it won't amount to anything unless Cena suffers an injury or goes and films a movie. So really there is no point in getting excited about it. Good match though.
Miz/mizdow vs Usos: I feel bad for the Uso's in this match. Is anybody in the arena watching anything else besides Mizdow? Dumb cheap finish killed this match
Big Show/Erik Rowan: Rowan as a face is still the dumbest thing I've ever seen. This match was a complete dud. Nobody is shocked by steel steps. After the attitude era they need to realize that steel chairs to the back and hollowed out steel steps aren't going to generate a reaction anymore. You need to do something unique. And again, why are these two fighting? no good storyline so hard to get invested.
Cena/Rollins: This match had potential, but fell a little flat. I was annoyed by Cena from the start. He got in Rollins face and even when the microphone isn't on, he is hyping the match like a commentator. STOP HYPING EVERYTHING LIKE A CHEERLEADER!!!!. There were too many run ins for this match to hit any rhythm. Everyone in the arena knew Cena was going to win because he is John Cena. So basically a waste of time for Rollins in my opinion. but they did ok, not great but ok. The Roman Reigns run in was cool and all but I have a hard time getting excited about the "superstar of the year" when he was the third most talented member of his three man stable.
Kane/Ryback: One of the worst PPV matches I've ever seen. No exaggeration. Why would you give these 2 10 minutes!!! Unbelievably boring. DUD
AJ Lee/ Nikki Bella: I like Nikki, I think she has improved a lot. But all divas should go back to NXT. The main roster gives them about 2 minutes a show to get over and then wonder why nobody cares about their matches. AJ Lee is just another example of a superstar who had all sorts of momentum and then turned face and became stale because this company doesn't know how to book faces to be entertaining. Plus the opponent getting blinded finish was kinda cheap
Swagger/Rusev: How many more matches are they going to have where the winner is blatantly obvious? You wonder why the fans can't get into a match, because they already have the entire match planned out in their head about how it is going to go and they are usually always right. You need to surprise people and they don't even try to anymore. Another DUD of a match
Ambrose/Wyatt: Really? using the "person gets blinded" finish in two matches the same night? Who writes this stuff. I liked this match though. I thought that Ambrose worked really hard and Wyatt is always good for a great match, but there was just something missing this entire feud. I couldn't really get into it. They didn't have a great storyline to go with the match and when you don't have a championship on the line you need a great story, and they just didn't have one.
Overall, I think it was the worst PPV of the year. Way too many duds in terms of matches. I've never heard a crowd this quiet during a PPV and this. NXT has really exposed the problems on the main roster which are:
1. No championship really hurts the shows. You need matches to have meaning to them and having no championship for this many PPV's was a horrible decision. 2. Commentating is horrible. They don't call the match anymore, sometimes I can count up to ten seconds where they literally don't say anything and all they do is story tell when they do talk. I'll hear them talking about John Cena and his storyline during a match that he is not even in. How are we supposed to get invested in a match when the commentators aren't even invested in it? 3. Crowd is terrible. The NXT crowd really makes the show a lot better. Some of it is the crowds fault because wrestling fans have become really spoiled and hard to entertain, and some of it is the company's fault because they are clearly not giving the crowd what they want. 4. This is the biggest reason that NXT puts on a better show. They give the crowd what they want. When the crowd cheers for someone in NXT, that person is successful. The main show is forcing everything down people's throats. John Cena hasn't gotten a "top superstar" ovation in his career yet he has been the main event guy for a decade. Is Roman Reigns gonna be the next big superstar because that is what the crowd wants? of course not. He's gonna be the next star because that is what the company wants and who cares what we think. We cheer for Cesaro and they bury him, We cheer for Ziggler and he can't get any higher than IC title. We cheer for Wyatt and they break up his group and he gets buried by Cena. We Cheer for CM punk and they never give him the main event, instead Cena got every main event. The fans want to feel like they are part of the decision making, like they are responsible for getting people over. Instead the crowd feels like all of their chants and cheering just goes unnoticed. No matter how much we boo John Cena he is going to be in the main event and probably going to win. The company has lost touch with what really makes them great and that is fan interaction which is ironic because this is the era of kissing the ass of the WWE Universe. People are clamoring for something new and exciting which is why NXT is putting on a better show. NXT is not more talented than the main roster, but they stick to what made wrestling popular. Solid matches, decent storytelling, fan interaction and Titles that have meaning. Until the main show figures this out, there is just gonna be more people tuning in to watch NXT and just ignoring the main show all together, which is a shame because there is no excuse for NXT to be putting on better shows right now.

I was sick yesterday and only watch Harper vs. Ziggler and fell asleep afterwards. I agree the match was pretty brutal and hopefully those two are alright cuz they both got some pretty nasty cuts. I read the results for everything else and eh nothing surprising or shocking.

To be honest, my biggest problem with the show was the repeat match formulas.
Ziggler/Harper? Heel beats up face until comeback Big Show/Rowan? Heel beats up face until comeback Kane/Ryback? Heel beats up face until comeback
Even Wyatt and Ambrose fell into it for a little bit.

I don't think people realize why the finish works...Ambrose's character is supposed to be reckless. A guy who is impulsive and doesn't think before he does something. Finish made perfect sense and didn't make anyone look bad. The issue is that nobody on this forum - and hopefully on this earth - believes that 'recklessly' yanking monitors/televisions from their cables causes them to explode in your face. We are asked to suspend our disbelief but then something like this happens which only insults our intelligence. You don't have to believe something is real in order to enjoy it. It's called suspension of disbelief. Just like the Week of Greatness at Foot Locker. OK, sure, it happened. But what if it didn't? It still made you happy, and that's perfectly fine, that's all I'm saying.

If it wasn't a lock already, then Reigns winning the Rumble now is a given.
