Sorry if this the wrong place. Bought a couple Mattel figures at a resale shop. Great price, but they're a little scuffed. Any suggestions on how to remove the marks? It looks like paint scuffed from other figures. Thanks.

Throw em in a bathtub full of acid. Helpful.... Are they scratches to the figures or just paint wear?

Not even paint wear. It looks as though they were played with, and paint was rubbed onto the figs from other figs. Paint marks on the torso mainly.

Magic erasers will work wonders on most scuffs and marks.

Toys R Us carrries babyganics products and they have one called toy and high chair cleaner. So far that has been great and there's no harsh chemicals in the spray

A cloth and warm soapy water might work.

If it's a scuff mark....get a alcohol pad and wipe where the mark is. It will come off. I've done that numerous times on my loose figs, they never disappoint

Isopropyl alcohol, commonly known as rubbing alcohol. I dip Q-Tips in this and it will remove little black scuffs that are common with Mattel. It will also remove dust and spam. I use it to clean the circuit boards of my computer and internals. It's fairly safe, but I would test it on a safe area first (as with anything).

I use clorox wipes personally. I have been extra careful on the face. They don't remove black smudging on the face, but they will remove almost any other paint transfer. I haven't noticed any issues using the wipes.
They are also great for removing those odd smells that used figures sometimes have when coming from an ebay purchase. You would never be able to tell which of my figs were purchased new and which were used.
I would not use alcohol as suggested. That will almost certainly remove the paint.
