I currently am using a windows xp computer produced in 2002. Not sure if that says anything but just wanted to get that out there. At least twice in the span of two days has the microsoft error report screen showing up for Windows Explorer saying it's crashed (legit), and then explorer disappearing, then it coming back. This really doesn't effect me at all but just wanted to know if anyone knew why it keeps happening

I think the computer is kicking the bucket, since it was made in 2002 and is running xp.

I really think you should get a new PC. Can you post the entire specs of the computer? It may be drivers or bios that are outdated. Follow this to get the whole specs.

Oddly enough I can't copy paste it. The only things it said that I didn't post were "989 mhz" which I didn't see and "Physical Address Extension"

Write it. If it only says that can you screenshot it? And how often are these crashes?

It can be either the outdated drivers, or your PC needs a total clean up. To get the drivers - download this drp.su/download.htm , open it with Daemon tools, and update them. To clean up your PC - Download CCLeaner, Malwarebytes & Defraggler. It should run fine after doing that.

It could be a million things. You could probably dumpster dive outside an office park and get a better more updated PC though. I'd personally say wipe it and do a fresh windows install, but you can't really put anything other than XP on that thing. Microsoft doesn't even support XP anymore. But if you have a windows XP install disc around, I would do that, and if it is still doing it, you probably have some faulty hardware which isn't worth replacing.
