A quick little back story. Our garage has a nice and decent sized attic that was well insulated that I kept much of my toy collections in and a large portion of my old GI Joe collection was destroyed in January when we had a fire in the garage. I got some insurance money to replace collectibles and put a nice chunk of that into my wrestling figure collection. I'm sad to have lost things like the FLAGG, Tactical Battle Platform and WHALE but I ended up some cool new stuff. (I will someday replace all the GI Joe toys I lost) Carded figures I got were Brodus Clay and Curt Hawkins, Elite Brodus, Santino with the Cobra, Rikishi, Bundy, Vickie and Zeb Loose figures Smash, CM Punk and the Rockers More loose figures Yoshi Tatsu, Mason Ryan and Ezekiel Jackson The Ric Flair I got from Amazon but he was delivered today too. Edit: If anyone is interested, this is what melted GI Joe vehicles look like.

That's unfortunate you lost some of your stuff in a fire. I always worry about something like that happening to my collection. That or home burglary.

Sorry about the stuff getting burned. Had the basement flood and my brother lost a bit of his Star Wars stuff. Never fun at all.
But, a great Haul from RSC.

I'd kill for a night force whale... man that sucks.. and I see a dead defiant... man you lost some grails... if it helps at all I can let you stare at mine until you can replace them. But it's great you got some cash to replace some stuff.

As a joe collector with a Flagg in my garage, those pics are tough to look at.

Ouch man...sorry to see that happen. That whale was one of my favorite toys as a kid... Worst fear as a collector, is something like that because replacing that kind of stuff is so hard.

Thanks guys! The fire was scary to watch happening, you just feel so helpless watching everything burn. Our fire department showed up very quickly and kept it from spreading to the house which is attached to the garage. Our two cats ran for a back bedroom and were trapped inside and we were more concerned for them but they were fine. It was odd how the GI Joe stuff melted. No actual flames got into the attic. It was just the heat from the fire down in the garage that melted everything and it only melted anything that was sitting up higher. The FLAGG and anything on or around it were on a big wooden table but anything under that table is fine. I have a lot of toys; Transformers, pre RA Jakks figures and all kinds of other stuff up there and it's all fine. Anything in a box you can't even tell was around a fire. Luckily my GI Joe figures are all stored in my bedroom with most of the smaller vehicles. The two Defiant shuttles that go with the Crawler are in my closet and my brother has the Terror Drome in his closet. So we have a few of the gems of the collection left. I just figured instead of only having enough insurance money to replace one or two lost items I would get a crap load of other stuff. Now I'm just waiting on a Demolition Ax from Amazon to go with my Smash from Ringside but I have a feeling they aren't going to ship him. Here's a few more sad pictures.

Gonna go and guess it's the plastic from the GI Joe stuff? Crazy how the stuff closer to the fire came out better.

Gonna go and guess it's the plastic from the GI Joe stuff? Crazy how the stuff closer to the fire came out better. That's what I'm thinking. The GI Joe stuff must be made of a plastic that is more likely to melt at whatever temperature it was that melted it. It's weird though because parts of that Rolling Thunder melted but the Brawler and Battle Wagon under it were fine. The fire was in the garage under the floor of the attic and those two vehicles were right on the floor. Maybe insulation in the garage ceiling, under the Attic floor, helped protect them but the actual heat went up around the walls and back down from the attic ceiling to the higher vehicles. There was other toys that were not GI Joes that were in boxes and even paper or plastic bags and everything in them were fine and the boxes and bags were fine other than smokey crud on them. Thanks for the nice replies guys. I gotta get my wrestling figures opened and display them with my others this weekend.
