Hello my cable went out the other day and I do not think my family will have it back for quite some time. Anyways I need to find an alternative fast because the NFL draft is on tomorrow. I have tried the Watch ESPN app with my brother (he lives a little bit away) cable information and it did not work on my Xbox or phone. So now my only option is going to be sitting at a local Applebees or Taco Mac to watch the draft for 4 hours. I would rather watch it in the comfort of my own phone. My desktop computer is old and my lab top screen is broke. I am currently using it via a VGA cable but for some reason videos on my TV suck when I play them. If anyone knows how to fix that it would be appreciated. Is there an alternative to cable or satellite? Like can a streaming device play TV channels? I have been trying to look up information but I am not wording it right in my searches. Any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated.

I doubt that a streaming device plays TV channels, unless the actual event is on like an ESPN app or something, I doubt you're going to get close to what you're looking for. As far as the VGA cables goes, check to see what resolution you're outputting from your laptop, that might have something to do with it. Without any other info like what brand laptop, what kind of tv, etc.. its kind of hard to help. I'd say unfortunately your best bet is to prob just take a night and chill at Applebees.

I'm going to a sports bar with my friends to watch the draft. Should be a good time. I recommend it. Your choices are going to be getting cable, satellite, or streaming off your computer. There really are no other options.

Get one of those Digital Transport Adapters for TVs that don't have cable
