I'm just happy that Warrior got his closure in WWE. That's something that Randy Savage never was able to get. But yes this has a been a rough week for old time wrestling fans, I was still recovering from Taker losing when this happened.

Interesting to learn that his father died at 57 and Warrior has made comments in the past about being worried about dying young due to genetic history. This is likely why he had been such a workout warrior and health nut to the very end.

Nice tribute video for Warrior: R.I.P. That was great. Man it's so weird seeing his mother and family like that, knowing how happy they were those few days and how they must be feeling now.

Wouldn't it be cool if all the wrestlers on RAW this Monday painted their faces "Warrior Style" as a tribute to The Ultimate one? I'd like to see that.... That would be awesome

I expect at least armbands or some sort of tribute by the wrestlers. Shame Punk is gone because I believe he'd do something really special.

Yea, he'd probably do multicolored boots and wrist tape and stuff.

It's so strange to say "late great" ultimate warrior, like part of my brain is still saying,"No, he's still out there somewhere...", I pray for his kids' welfare, it's super sad that he came out and said how proud he was of them a few days ago, and now he'll never see them graduate, or be at their weddings, or know their children. Definitely not an unfulfilled prophecy, but definitely gone too soon.

-The Associated Press has an article up on The Ultimate Warrior's passing, with comments from Sean Waltman and Triple H. Triple H noted that Vince McMahon told Warrior this weekend, "I've always loved you. Sometimes, I didn't like you, but I always loved you." Waltman commented on seeing Warrior in New Orleans: "I got a sense he wasn't well. It was sad to me. He was kind of hunched over. He used to have such great posture. You just had this sense that he wasn't well. But he was in great spirits. He came up to (other wrestlers) and gave them hugs." Triple H talked about Warrior's passing: "We are all grateful to have had the opportunity to get the closure with him, to work to get him back on that platform. Knowing him now, there could have been no better send-off, really, for him, than that. It was everything he would have dreamed off." -Mick Foley published a new Facebook blog about The Ultimate Warrior. He wrote: "WORDS OF A WARRIOR When I first heard the news of the Ultimate Warrior's passing - from my oldest son - my first thoughts were of his precious daughters, and how their father - whose love for them was clear - had been taken away from them far to early in their lives. My second thought was about the foolish tweet I sent out during Warrior's Hall of Fame induction speech - and how badly I wish I could have taken those words back. Maybe they seemed harmless at the time, but in retrospect, the fact that my final words about Warrior were negative ones has had me feeling pretty bad these last 24 hours. I did not dislike Warrior. I got along fine with him in 1996, and years later, during a "Legends Rountable" focusing on "Heatseekers", I was good-naturedly kidded by my fellow Roundtable guests for having nothing negative to say about Warrior, Paul Heyman or Buff Bagwell. His promo style was loved by some, loathed by others for their seemingly nonsensical style. But Warrior's promos were unique and intense - and no one has done anything quite like them, before or sense. But in his final promo, he was anything but nonsensical. He was profound, and eerily prophetic. "No WWE talent becomes a legend on their own," he told the audience. "Every man's heart one day beats its final beat. His lungs breathe their final breath. And if what that man did in his life makes the blood pulse through the body of others and makes them believe deeper in something that's larger than life, then his essence, his spirit, will be immortalized by the storytellers -- by the loyalty, by the memory of those who honor him, and make the running the man did live forever." A brilliant statement, but a bittersweet moment to wantch after the fact - knowing how close the subject hit to home. I was thrilled to see someone I knew at the 3:10 moment of the video clip - my onw daughter, reacting to the historic moment - smiling, clapping; making sure that at least one Foley gave this iconic figure - and a well-deserved inductee in to the WWE Hall of Fame the goodbye I should have had for him." -Sting posted the following on his Facebook this morning: "Mourning the loss of Jim Hellwig. I don't believe anyone has ever published this picture before today. The snapshot was taken two days before Thanksgiving in 1985, as we prepared to leave my house in Newhall, California and embark on a career in wrestling. Jim always challenged me to strive at being the best, and I'll forever be grateful for the encouragement and motivation he provided. I was looking forward to catching up with him, and I'm saddened we didn't have that opportunity before he passed. My heart goes out to his wife Dana and their two daughters, and they will remain in my prayers."

Woke up Wednesday to the terrible news. Just seeing that excellent tribute video brought tears to my eyes.
I was 11 when I got into wrestling, Survivor Series 1990. Here was this super hero, larger than life monster of a man.
The music, the running to the ring, the attire, face paint, everything.
We listened to RR 91 as it was scrambled on Sky Movies back then. Listening in horror as he lost. My first Wrestlemania. 7. Watching that incredible story he and Macho told. And when Warrior would disappear for months on end before the internet you wondered if he had returned to parts unknown.
Euphoria at his return at WM8. I was honoured to see him live at a UK event in London vs The Undertaker. One memory I will never forget.
I always wanted to see him in a WWE ring once more in any capacity and when I heard of his HOF induction I couldn't have been happier. I ordered Wrestlemania just to see him on stage. Watched Raw promo on Tuesday with a tear in my eye at his return but easy to say now he didn't look well.
Wednesday was tough. I tweeted a picture of my favourite Warrior drinking mug, listened to his music endlessly and watched the WM7 match.
Rest in peace Warrior. You will never, ever be forgotten. God bless you and thank you for the memories.

He/WWE and its doctors must have know that his health wasn't great. WWE let him be on RAW probably knowing that it was a goodbye/farewell speech, few could have predicted he would die so soon though.

I found out about Warrior's passing at 1 am on Wednesday morning. We spent Tuesday evening flying back from New Orleans to California. So I was shocked to see my brother post on facebook "RIP Ultimate Warrior." My brother hasn't watched wrestling in years but it goes to show the lasting impact the Warrior had on fans so many years later.
One point from his HOF speech that stood out to me was when Warrior said his character was fun. So many people criticized him for his workrate and promos but the character was always entertaining.
Until we hear an official cause of death, I don't know much faith we can put into comments regarding his appearance last weekend (ie. frail, weak, tired etc). Most retired wrestlers are not in great shape in their 50's whether its bad knees or a bad back. It looks painful to watch some of these old wrestlers walk around.
