SDCC exclusive? It is April, thats when the Mattel exclusives usually start to get announced. that was my original theory. I know the SDCC Ministry Taker didn't do well. Which is a shame because its one of the best figures they've made. Somehow Monster High dolls sellout @ SDCC....but they couldn't give away Undertaker. Makes no sense why one of the hottest toy lines doesn't have some great SDCC exclusive figure each year. Maybe this is a way to bring it back. Confusing since the ebay seller said its a 1/15 Mattel employee figure. Whatever it is, I'll be disappointed if they don't release a Flair in that attire for the public. And i'll be double disappointed if it has that Sheamus torso.

Mattel Design Team can you at least confirm or deny if this is even real? I would hate for some poor soul to shell out that money for something thats not real. To be honest I would never drop that kind of money on a non-vintage action figure.

Seeing as MDT would have most likely shot this thing down as being a custom or bootleg, I have faith we'll see this sooner than later. My money's on the next RSC Exclusive.....

If someone is selling this on ebay as a 1/15 exclusive this is not true. I would know this more than anyone on this board. More than 15 people will get the chance to buy the first Ric Flair figure from Mattel if and when we come out with one.

NOTHING besides the actual figure body & head of the figure screams Mattel in ANY WAY Plus why would Mattel make a 1/15 exclusive but not paint the head or feet right? The figure itself might be a real proto, or maybe even just the head. But the rest is absolutely custom JUNK how could anyone look at that twice and think "oh this is legit" Mattel killed off the Defining Moments line like 3 years ago. Because the line was too high of a cost and didn't perform at retail They also told us Flair was never scheduled for Entrance Greats, let alone DM. look at the DM Steamboat box front look at the back of a DM box this Flair box looks almost next to nothing like the real DM boxes. every other DM box looks like Steamboats...why would Mattel make a different one for Flair? especially for a line they would never resurface why are wrestling figure collectors so gullible??? just because some dude on Ebay is claiming he has a "1/15 exclusive" doesn't mean it's real.

I still think it was a mock up they did as a quick visual aid for an upcoming Flair figure.

That head looks so real tho, it's gotta be a Mattel prototype?

I think it's more than safe to say one of our missing pieces from our collection will be filled eventually.
Next Hogan, Hollywood Hogan and Razor.

Mattel can be as coy as they want about Flair and Hogan (and maybe Razor), but we all should know it was always just a matter of time before we get those figs. Since LOD and Luger are imminent, that only leaves ten guys on my essential list: Hollywood/Hulk Rules Hogan, WCW/WWF Flair, Crow/Surfer Sting, Sid Justice/Vicious, Hall/Razor, WCW Goldberg, the Steiner Bros, early HBK, and Camo Sarge!

I'm really hoping that for certain/special releases, Mattel will bring back the Defining Moments packaging/style ... and Flair's first figure would be a great reason to. That head looks so real tho, it's gotta be a Mattel prototype? I definitely think it is... and tellingly, MDT didn't say that it wasn't (which they surely would have if it was fake).

MattelDesignTeam I am really curious if this proto Ric Flair is real in any way or form. I understand the sampling process. Just need confirmation. I may buy it from the seller.
