For the people saying it's based on WM24 I think you are wrong. The back of the box talks about his whole career. It has a young head sculpt and the World title...so even if it was going to be a "real" Defining Moment figure to me that bio along with title and scan says it's not based off his WM24 loss but rather his whole career. The robe is almost identical to his Wrestlemania 24 robe. Not to mention WM24 is in bold print on the back of the box. DM Bret Hart came with a World title even though he wasn't champion at the supposed "defining moment" in July of 1997. It doesn't look like a young head sculpt to me from all the wrinkles. Oh and the attire is blue just like his WM24 attire if you look at the rest of the pics. Safe bet, it's Wrestlemania 24.

This is a DM MOC prototype. I don't know if it's the same head sculpt or not, since I never saw the EG one. Is that what we are talking about or a different image? I doubt it is, but if this EG was scheduled and created back in 2010 or whenever then it maybe. Definitely a different image. It has Defining Moments packaging and elite articulation.

It has the world title and a build and attire closer to his starcade 83 attire. The only thing that is off is the robe which would make sense on an early mock up. Which is what that looks to be. There is nothing "defining" about his WM loss, but being a 16 time world champion is.

Maybe one of his epic battles with Ricky Steamboat. Just going off the pics though it looks like WM24. They made Macho's defining moments when he lost to the Warrior in a retirement match. They made Undertakers defining moment a short lived bat-attire. Wouldn't be much of a stretch.

im just wondering why it sat on this guys shelf or wherever for this long.. unless its recent. I wouldve done sold that for way more than listed now, and now its not even worth the 1G hes asking really considering Flair will come out eventually more likely.

Another thing: Is there one example of a DM figure where the defining moment took place outisde of the WWF/E?

Wether it's real or not, that figure looks great. I really want a Ric Flair figure, hopefully we hear about one soon. Real Soon

The head sculpt makes me curious, but nothing else leads me to believe it's real. the rumor was an entrance Greats figure. He had been with TNA far too long to have even been planned for Defining Moments.
That said, I really wish we could get some real news on this thing one way or the other.

Well, if pics are allowed now, here's a quick comparison I made showing that this isn't just the old DM packaging. It's specially made new packaging just for this figure.

If d.ms make a comeback , flair is a greAt way to start. Hogan, sting, flair, savage, undertaker, warrior, razor Ramon, camo slaughter, 91 bulldog ... They could keep it going for a while I imagine... More people are on the Mattel kick now

Having said that flashbacks are a huge hit as well as the elites now so maybe. If they do they should be a tru exclusive coming out twice a year ala classic deluxe. If they stick to only heavy hitters like: Hogan (shirt two bandanas, belt) Macho in robe Hbk (chaps, hat, ring gear 96 run) Flair in robe

Anyway, it'd be awesome if DM came back, but there's maybe a 10% chance of that ever happening.
