Alright, buddy, alright. This clarifies a lot of things about you; first of all, and makes me realize your condescending, pretensions attitude on here is not only stupid, but unwarranted as well. First off; being a man isn't stupid. Acting like not getting a manicure or driving a truck or sleeping in a barn or ignoring personal hygiene and health care in favor of barbaric, self harming "cures", however, is extremely stupid. You do most of what you do based off your dad? See, that right there is the problem. Your dad lived, what, 60 years ago? The world has drastically changed in 10, I can't even begin to imagine just how different day to day life would be back then. The problem with you is that, for all your proclamations of being manly and whatnot, you never really learned to be your own man. You do things based off of a person who, by all accounts, lived a very limited, boxed up life and had little or no education; seriously, suggesting a doctor would give a pedicure to remove an in grown toenail would be the funniest thing I ever heard, had I not gotten two of them removed via a minor surgical procedure. Also, just saying, you're very lucky you didn't develop gangrene in your toe. But, sure, it'd be great to have a limb amputated in the name of MANLINESS! Oh and, your dad told you to take care of it yourself because he did not have the money to take you to a doctor. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but don't make it into being a tough life lesson when it's not. Look; given by the way you went off into stories about.. eh, whatever that BS up top was about in regards to a PEDICURE, it's obvious you're set in your stupid ways forever. But make an effort, still. Try and realize that being a man comes not from what you do, but how you act. Your dad sleeping in a barn wasn't by choice and it doesn't make him a man. If that was the case, every horse, cow and pig on the farm would be a man. You cutting your toenail out when there's a proper, surgical procedure to take care of in grown toenails doesn't make you a man, it makes both you and your father dumb asses. And there we get to the point; You are a dumb ass. Don't bother replying, because; actually, no, do reply. Let's see what sort of sentimental memories I triggered in you this time, man. Go ahead, get your mani/pedi. Go sit next to nothing but women and get your nails done. Know that I'll be that one dude that passes by, sees you, and just laughs. Maybe after you get your nails done head on over to a store in the mall like a victorias secret, or forever 21, or Bakers, or MAC and pick yourself up something nice. I mean sure those are all stores geared towards women, and you'll prob be the only man in there shopping for yourself, but hey you're a modern man. Im dumb or barbaric, or homophobic, or closet homosexual, or whatever because I see those stores/services and think they are for women. Im clearly in the wrong here, mani/pedis are for men, you are right. That's why when you walk into a nail salon...... or do you call it a Nail shop......idk. Back to my point, when you walk in they ask you what manly color you want for your nails. Do you want Modern Man Pink, or Intelligent man cherry red, or No one is laughing at you purple? Really I think that if you are a man and get your nails done you prob are fem/gay. Or you just have so much time and money on your hands you're looking for new things to do. Idle hands are the devils play things. In either case do what you will. I wont judge you, I might giggle but im not going to keep you from you being you. Jesus Christ, where do I even begin... Yeah, cause what straight guy would want that? The opportunity to talk to other women that would probably rather be with a guy that isn't ashamed to take care of himself and exhibit proper hygiene than some manly man with an obnoxious macho attitude. Well you're not a judgmental douchebag at all. So because a guy exhibits proper hygiene and body care that makes him also want to be a cross dresser? Give me a break. Okay? What exactly does this have to do with getting a mani/pedi? Last I checked this topic isn't about men that shop for women's clothing, you're just bringing up this completely irrelevant idiocy out of nowhere and all it does is show how incredibly judgmental you are. Manicures and pedicures are for anyone that wants to take care of themselves and practice proper hygiene. Man or woman. Saying that they for men is yet another ignorant statement on your part. Your ignorance never ceases to amaze me. A manicure or pedicure does not mean you have to get your nails painted. Again, it's more of a hygienic thing than aesthetic for men. I... just... WOW... I don't even know what to say about this incredibly moronic statement. Oh, well that's mighty nice of you. The one thing you said that actually makes sense. Are you ing kidding me?!? Your entire post is so incredibly judgmental it isn't even funny. The fact that you're completely oblivious to your incredibly judgmental behavior makes your ignorance even worse. I mean, did you even read what you wrote? It's insane that you said all of these things and then sit there and claim to not be judgmental. You're being so judgmental that it's to the point of obnoxiousness. Really, it's sad how completely oblivious your are to your incredibly judgmental behavior. Did you have your dad proof read this before you posted it? Won't wanna let the old, barn hardened man down by not sounding dumb enough, now, would you? How is it dumb to have a valid opinion? If you go to an auto mechanic shop is it not safe to assume that cars get taken there? If you go to a Chuckie Cheese wouldnt you assume its a place to take kids? If you go to a Lane Bryant isnt it safe to assume a plus sized women shops there? Why would we make these assumptions? The answer is because we have eyes and we see what goes on in those businesses. We see cars at a mechanic, we see kids at chuckie cheese, we see plus size women at lane bryant and we see women at nail salons. So im perfectly right to assume it's a business for women. Now that's not me saying its exclusivly for women. A man can walk into an auto mechanic and ask them for help putting on his shoes. A man can walk into Chuckie Cheese and play in the kids area. A man can walk into lane bryant and shop. A man can go get his nails done at a nail salon. Of course you can do all of those things. But the thing is you will stick out like a sore thumb. Sure some people will see what you're doing and think its silly, but you can just tell them you're a modern man. Not one single bit of this drivel has anything to do with a man getting a mani/pedi. It's all just blabbering and a feign attempt at trying to make a point.

ever think that not every man is the same? don't always gotta be macho In my experience, the over the top, in your face, WHOA I'M A MAN!! types like this fellow here are usually the closeted homosexuals. They're so uncomfortable with the fact they DO enjoy men that they try to play up the public image to anything in reverse. It's the opposite end of the spectrum of the typecast queenie gay. this is true. if getting a manicure, or peeing sitting down.. or even liking pop music makes you feel like less of a man.. well, hate to break it to you guys, but.. you won't be satisfying many ladies

(reads all 3 pages) Wow, some people are really insecure about their manhood and really have to show off some machismo to make up for it.
Personally, I couldn't get a pedicure. Not because of being a MANLY MANLY MAN....but because I'm way too ticklish for it.

It's of a monetary thing. I can take care of my own feet and nails. The whole mani, pedi thing, or paying anyone to clip and clean my nails seems too high maintenance to me. I've better ways to spend my money. But as I said, if you're a man and like getting your feet and hands done, so be it and more power to ya.

Oh I wholeheartedly agree with you on the monetary thing, I just get a kick out of fragile masculinity. Hell of an oxymoron isn't it?

Thanks in advance bud. my Podiatrist shaves and files it down with a scalpel and then smooths it off with a Dremel like tool
