If by "manicure" you mean "bite my nails until there is blood everywhere", the answer is yes! lol sometimes I've felt that pain of skin missing around my fingers - where there's an open wound & I'll think 'how did that happen?' then I remember I bite the skin or pick at it until it's painful to use the fingers I've never done it but am not above getting one…just wouldn't spend the money on that kind of luxury really - never paid for a massage either, would rather just barter for one with a gf

Fairly frequently. It makes a big difference getting it done that way as opposed to attempting to do it myself. Not to mention, if I ever try to paint my own nails, I end up looking like Jeff Hardy's face paint gone wrong.

Nah, I pee standing up so I dont do those things. as expected, you make the dumbest post in here. How is it dumb to be a man? My dad taught me to be a man. When I was in highschool I had a really bad in grown toe nail. I told some friends and one suggested I see a doctor. Then when I told my dad he told me I had two options. Go to a doctor and ask for a pedicure like some woman, or be a man and take care of it yourself. So I decided id be a man, I took a nail cutter and a knife and I cut until I had that nail tip out. There was some blood and it hurt but I felt great. See for me I do most of what I do just based off of what I think my dad would do in situations. My dad is my hero. My dad grew up pretty much on his own, his mom passed when he was 2 and my grandfather was either working or tending to his second family. So early on my dad had to fend for himself and in the process it made him a stronger man. My dad tells me storys about how he had to work the fields or tend to live stock when he was very young just in hopes of getting something to eat for the day. He would tell me he'd get a bowl of beans, mostly water, as a regular meal. He would tell me he thought it was a party if someone gave him a Jalapeño pepper to go with his beans. I just picture my father as a small child having to sleep in a barn, working all day from dusk till dawn, not having comforts I have, and it just makes me push myself. So when I see a guy go to do a manicure or a pedicure it tells me a number of things. That guy has way too much time on his hands. That guy is pretty fem. Or as I've seen from some previous posts here, that guy is whipped by his woman. If you want to get a mani/pedi that is fine. Those are just things that arent in me to do. I cant bring myself to do something like that when there are kids in this world who stuggle just to get a meal. I'd say take what you, as a man, would spend on a mani/pedi and donate it to a charity.

It's very hypocritical to tell someone to spend money on charity over taking care of yourself while your out buying video games, action figures, movies, music, ect... And it's not dumb to be a man but it is dumb to think like one. Getting rid of an ingrown toe nail yourself as opposed to having it done professionally because of your pride is dumb.

First off it was a day off from work. A day off after I spent in boots for 8 hrs shoveling snow.secondly, fem? Nice try I'm just as manly as the next guy. Whipped by my woman? Yeah ok. She said you wanna come it'll be a fun thing to do and try. So I did it. She even said the day I was going you don't have to if you don't want to, but I was not against trying it and having a laugh while doing it.
You want me to donate all the money I use to take care of myself and have a little rest and relaxation and give it to charity? Why do I work then? You should try taking the stick out of your ass and try new things and enjoy life instead of living "like a tough guy" and enjoy yourself bc one day it'll all be over

lol at people getting mad at a bunch of GUYS laughing at manicures and pedicures. I was thinking the same thing. It's like there were vultures just waiting for the first guy to make a joke about it. Lighten up people. I've never had one. Probably never will. Do I think it's a girly thing to do? Yep, but I'm not gonna diss the next man if he wants to have that done. More power to him. But you won't see me getting one. i can take care of my own nails and toes. Shaving your legs and pits can be hygienic too. Doesn't mean it's not more of a feminine thing to do.

Milincoln's pointless story about jalapeno beans and sleeping in a barn aside, you can't expect to be a guy and bring up getting a manicure and a pedicure to a bunch of other guys without there being giggles in the room. People will get on their whiny ass little soap box and bitch about anything.

Alright, buddy, alright. This clarifies a lot of things about you; first of all, and makes me realize your condescending, pretensions attitude on here is not only stupid, but unwarranted as well. First off; being a man isn't stupid. Acting like not getting a manicure or driving a truck or sleeping in a barn or ignoring personal hygiene and health care in favor of barbaric, self harming "cures", however, is extremely stupid. You do most of what you do based off your dad? See, that right there is the problem. Your dad lived, what, 60 years ago? The world has drastically changed in 10, I can't even begin to imagine just how different day to day life would be back then. The problem with you is that, for all your proclamations of being manly and whatnot, you never really learned to be your own man. You do things based off of a person who, by all accounts, lived a very limited, boxed up life and had little or no education; seriously, suggesting a doctor would give a pedicure to remove an in grown toenail would be the funniest thing I ever heard, had I not gotten two of them removed via a minor surgical procedure. Also, just saying, you're very lucky you didn't develop gangrene in your toe. But, sure, it'd be great to have a limb amputated in the name of MANLINESS! Oh and, your dad told you to take care of it yourself because he did not have the money to take you to a doctor. Nothing wrong with that, of course, but don't make it into being a tough life lesson when it's not. Look; given by the way you went off into stories about.. eh, whatever that BS up top was about in regards to a PEDICURE, it's obvious you're set in your stupid ways forever. But make an effort, still. Try and realize that being a man comes not from what you do, but how you act. Your dad sleeping in a barn wasn't by choice and it doesn't make him a man. If that was the case, every horse, cow and pig on the farm would be a man. You cutting your toenail out when there's a proper, surgical procedure to take care of in grown toenails doesn't make you a man, it makes both you and your father dumb asses. And there we get to the point; You are a dumb ass. Don't bother replying, because; actually, no, do reply. Let's see what sort of sentimental memories I triggered in you this time, man.

They're so uncomfortable with the fact they DO enjoy men that they try to play up the public image to anything in reverse. It's the opposite end of the spectrum of the typecast queenie gay.

I mean sure those are all stores geared towards women, and you'll prob be the only man in there shopping for yourself, but hey you're a modern man. Im dumb or barbaric, or homophobic, or closet homosexual, or whatever because I see those stores/services and think they are for women. Im clearly in the wrong here, mani/pedis are for men, you are right. That's why when you walk into a nail salon...... or do you call it a Nail shop......idk. Back to my point, when you walk in they ask you what manly color you want for your nails. Do you want Modern Man Pink, or Intelligent man cherry red, or No one is laughing at you purple? Really I think that if you are a man and get your nails done you prob are fem/gay. Or you just have so much time and money on your hands you're looking for new things to do. Idle hands are the devils play things. In either case do what you will. I wont judge you, I might giggle but im not going to keep you from you being you.

If you go to an auto mechanic shop is it not safe to assume that cars get taken there? If you go to a Chuckie Cheese wouldnt you assume its a place to take kids? If you go to a Lane Bryant isnt it safe to assume a plus sized women shops there? Why would we make these assumptions? The answer is because we have eyes and we see what goes on in those businesses. We see cars at a mechanic, we see kids at chuckie cheese, we see plus size women at lane bryant and we see women at nail salons. So im perfectly right to assume it's a business for women. Now that's not me saying its exclusivly for women. A man can walk into an auto mechanic and ask them for help putting on his shoes. A man can walk into Chuckie Cheese and play in the kids area. A man can walk into lane bryant and shop. A man can go get his nails done at a nail salon. Of course you can do all of those things. But the thing is you will stick out like a sore thumb. Sure some people will see what you're doing and think its silly, but you can just tell them you're a modern man.

I like the Chuck E Cheese's analogy, because, look; you can walk into a Chuck E Cheese's and order a pizza, right? And that won't make you seem like a grown up man child or whatever, right? Similarly, if a nail salon OFFERS MANICURES AND PEDICURES that are specifically DESIGNED for MEN, it's not a feminine thing. Read the OP. He got his dead skin removed and a glorified foot massage. How that makes him feminine, or homosexual, I don't know. Then again, maybe you just need to have a functioning brain to comprehend this. So anyway, your dad said only women get pedicures to heal in grown toenails at a doctor's clinic, and so you won't ever get one. Makes sense.

Every post I see from you makes you look like a bigger and bigger joke. Seriously, your embarrassing yourself. You have never been to a nail salon so how do you know who goes? I wasn't even the only man in there that day. I have to much money or time? Not at all but to try something different with a hot girlfriend? Yeah why not? Maybe you should go get a nice manicure bc with thst attitude that's the only girl your gunna have.
