Hey guys,
Figured I'd try to jumpstart a thread about collecting sports cards. It's a hobby I just recently got into, and am addicted. I really love the 2013 Bowman Football Blasters, as I have gotten a decent card in every box I've bought. Just this week I got a on-card signed Bowman Chrome Sam Montgomery card. Of course, 24 hours earlier, the guy had been released by the Texans, but it is still a cool card. Anyone else into cards?

Used to be in the 80's and part of the 90's. Overproduction and short print cards really killed the hobby.

My dad was HUGE into it when I was a kid. Some of my favorite childhood memories were hanging out at the local sports card shop with my dad. He stopped collecting when the bubble burst. But he's got some complete baseball sets from the 60s & 70s I'll get one day.

Collecting as a kid had an "innocence" to it but then as I got older I wanted the more valuable cards. Then I got even older and wanted to spend money elsewhere so would only collect cards of guys on my team. Now, i just dont care anymore. Only cards I buy are part of display pieces.

I collect currently. I've probably got over 10000. Every now and then i find myself going through them. Ended up finding a Kaepernick Rookie (i only collect Football/Basketball. Mostly Football)

I still have a bunch in my closet somewhere. Not even sure they're worth anything anymore.

I have started a Seahawks 2013 rookie Christine Michael collection, and I have some pretty good gems in my collection. I have a #1/15 relic book that has a piece of his jersey, wrist cuff, football, glove and sock inbedded in it. Awesome Christmas gift.

Collecting cards for me is like collecting comics and toys. I'm not in it for any potential value, I just like looking at them and reading the stats.
I have a decent collection of Giants (baseball) cards ranging from the late 50's through now. It's the sport I care the most about (besides wrestling).

Yeah, I definitely don't collect for financial gain. I have some pretty worthwhile cards of teams I absolutely despise...yet I keep them 'cause I enjoy the card itself.
