Not if they're told by corporate, District Managers and Store Managers to spread out the product to fill those holes until they get more in stock.
Why else would those associates put Basics on a peg marked for Elites. Most likely because they were told to by management.

Well, when you hide a figure it will still be in their inventory and can cause orders they place to restock to get canceled because it still shows an inventory. So by hiding it you are sort of defeating yourself. Bingo. You pretty much nailed it right there

When Elite figures are put on Basic pegs, they are in the incorrect place and under the incorrect price tags. We know damn well from reading all the posts on here that if some asshats on this message board find an Elite on a Basic peg they'll go cry to the cashier and try and get the Elite for $10.99 even though they know damn well what Elites cost. So me cleaning up the pegs is the right thing to do and I'm going to keep doing it. Not if they're mandated to space them out. You're not helping, at all. Trust us bud, we're not lying to ya. I don't care. Elite figures do not belong on Basic pegs. If they want to space out the product to give the shelves the false appearance of being fuller, either change the price tags, or have NO PRICE TAGS and force people to check the scanner to know the price. Some people really don't know how much these things cost and if they walk down the isle and their kid wants an Elite figure and it's sitting on a peg priced $10.99, they are in for a tantrum at the register if the parent decides $18+ after tax is too much for a toy.

Have fun hawse! I'm just glad you're not screwing around with any of my stores...

New plan guys! Let's fine someone rich on the forum and they can go to each of our stores and buy all of the shelf warmers and then return them when new stock is ordered at every store in the country xD

I use to work at Toys R Us and my manger always made me clean the aisles and fill in empty space, because all managers hate seeing empty space. Also I don't care about people moving the figures in the right place, because at times I would literally spend a whole day cleaning one area and making it look perfect. Only to come by at 4 pm the next day to find the area I clean look like if a tornado came by. I swear most employees are lazy as heck. What bothered me the most was the Toys R Us I was working at had all female employees and at times would ask me for help while I was doing what my manager was telling me. And since I was a bit new I had to help them otherwise they would report me. -.-

FACT: I'd rather fight a grizzly bear while having honey poured over my head, then call Walmart and ask them for help.
And take it from someone who used to work for several department stores, if the space appears empty and they do NOT have anymore WWE figures in the back, they will find ANYTHING to fill the spot. So if you hide WWE stuff they may fill it with Batman, Hot-Wheels, or GI Joe figures and then next time you will not have as much WWE space to be filled. Thus causing you to find less stock in the future.

Let me give you a little info on how Walmart works. They don't stock there shelves typically based on emptiness. Instead it is by electronic inventory (calculated by items scanned at the register leaving the store). They also do what was once called "zoneing" where employees from any department are asked to pull and spread items to the front of shelves to make shelves look as full as possible and to spread out the display.
Your efforts make sense to the collector I agree but you will be fighting a loosing battle if you keep trying to get the Waltons to change their ways.

I was in a wal-mart thursday and they said they had 24 basics and 16 elites coming in today and so I called and they told me they had nothing on the shelves and nothing coming in...I went in anyway and found B27 on the shelves and E21 on the pegs...like why lie? Do they not want my money?
