Welcome! Living in Australia, my only real choices for Elites and TNA are online or through trades. Basics we do get here, and often not too far behind the US, so I always buy those in stores when I can.

Thanks for all the responses guys, it looks like the consensus is preorder the figs I'd really want to make sure I get. Sound advice. I do have a lot of Targets, Wallyworlds, Kmarts and Tru options but factoring in gas I'm sure it's a wash. Thanks again!

For me, since what I pay online is about the same as what I pay at retail for a figure here in Singapore, I usually just go ahead and buy my figures online from RSC or ebay, especially if the figures are from the latest releases. Saves me the slow waiting time for the local retailers to bring the figures in. RSC (obviously) and ebay gets the figures in quicker than my local retailers. No logic for me to wait a longer time for figures to be available at retail in a couple of months when I can basically pay the same retail price if I were to get them online, and get the figures before they are even available locally.
Speaking of which, I've just pre-ordered the RSC Exclusive Brock Lesnar and Elite 24 Miz and Trish!

I only pre-order If I absolutely cannot wait for retail or if it's an RSC exclusive. Otherwise it'll be cheaper at retail and no shipping costs. The hunt is fun for me, store after store after store

You guys in the US and the UK are lucky that the figures are cheaper at retail. For me here in Singapore, its basically the same price both online (incl shipping price) and at retail.. So if I want new figures fast without having to wait for retail, then I just order or pre-order from RSC. Just like how it was for Elite 22. Already have those figures thanks to RSC, but retailers here will probably only have it in September or so...
Lets take my latest pre-order from RSC for instance which consists of the RSC Exclusive Brock, Elite 24 Miz and Trish. Total amount with international shipping that I paid was US$125.97. Divide that amount by 3 figures, and each figure would be US$41.99. So basically, thats the same price if I were to get an Elite figure at retail locally here in Singapore seeing as an Elite figure here retails for about US$40 each. The plus side of coz is that I don't have to wait a few months for retailers to bring the E24 figs in.
