Suddenly, Undertaker and his Morticians (Maven, George Steele, and Ariel) come down to the ring and Lance flees the scene. Maven grabs the microphone and claims that when he and Steele "defeat the Hardyz tonight, Undertaker will be awarded his rematch for the RBw Championship, and the reign of terror will be back in effect much more stronger than ever before!"

Backstage, Stephanie interviews Kenwood about his upcoming match against Amazin Alan at Backlash and how it all came to be, to which kenwood says "Well, back at No Quarter Given, I defeated Randy Wartooth for the European Title, then went onto the Royal Rumble to defend it against Amazing Alan, who was at that time a very respectable lad. During the match, though Randy Wartooth interfered and cost me the European Title to Alan. Now since Alan won the European Title by capitalizing on Randy's attack, it seems Alan has chosen to a a sneaky Champion who would rather take cowardly opportunities to retain the title, rather than wrestling the fair way! Just look at WrestleMania 9, I hit the Delicious Jaw Sound superkick to Randy Wartooth and had him out cold, but Alan threw me out the ring and pinned Randy to retain the title for himself!
I had that match won, and Alan knows it, and that's why on Smackdown he refused to defend the title against me, so I gave him a Delicious Jaw Sound superkick! And thankfully so, the match has now officially been made, despite what Alan prefers, and come Backlash I'll prove I'm the real European Champion when I defeat Amazing Alan once and for all! And this time there won't be a third man to cost me the title, just me and Alan, one on one, and we'll see who the real champion of Europe is!"

Sabu clotheslines Sting out of the ring, and flies off the ropes with an asai moonsault to Sting ringside! Sabu rolls him back into the ring for a two count, then lifts him up for a suplex but Sting over rotates onto his feet and hits a desperation reverse DDT, leaving both men down for the count. As the referee counts them down, they manage to get up by an eight count, as Sting unloads furious clotheslines and finally hits the stinger splash in the corner. Alex Shelley then slides into the ring and superkicks Sting! Sabu takes issue with Shelley, so Alex drills Sabu facefirst into the middle turnbuckle with a flatliner! The X Division Champion then locks his arch nemesis Sting in a Scorpian Deathlock and screams "At Backlash you're finished, Sting! You're finished!"
Backstage John Morrison recaps the recent incident involving Kane interupting his #1 contenders match at WrestleMania 9. "It was me and Batista, two former RBW Champions looking to settle the score once and for all on the biggest show of RBW history, to see who would become the new #1 contender for the RBW Title... but then Kane made his demented return and assaulted myself and Batista! So it looks like he wants to be part of the RBW Title hunt, does it? Well that's fine, because at Backlash it will be all three of us in a Triple Threat match to decide who the real #1 Contender is, and I'm gonna break on thro..."

All I have to say, is Good luck to the Hardyz!"
Tag Team Championship match
The Hardyz (Matt & Jeff) .vs. The Morticians (George Steele & Maven)
Jeff Hardy begins the match taking control of Maven, hitting his famous high flying, fast paced moves, before tagging in Matt. They both hit a double leg drop, then Matt takes control, out wrestling Maven. Eventually Maven resorts to pulling Matt's hair and taking him to his corner, where he tags in Steele. They double team Matt with a heavy beatdown, which sets the tone for frequent tags as Maven and Steele take turns in keeping Matt down. Jeff tries to reach in for a tag, but Maven whacks him, so Jeff tries to get in but the referee holds him back saying "You're not the legal man, wait for the tag", and while this is happening, Maven and Steele are both in the ring stomping Matt, behind the referees back!
The referee turns around and Maven is slyly back on the apron, and Steele continues to stomp away, until Matt hits a jawbreaker on Steele, who stumbles into his corner. A battered Matt crawls over to his corner, as Jeff reaches in for the tag, but Maven tags in and attacks Matt just before he could tag in Jeff. After a while, Jeff Hardy and Maven both stagger to their feet, ending with Maven taking a snappy twist of fate! Jeff then climbs to the top rope and calls for 'Swantom Bomb!' but Ariel runs down into the ring, so the referee quickly goes to stop her from interfering in the match. While the referee is distracted, the Undertaker appears onto the apron and chokeslams Jeff off the top rope and back into the ring! Ariel leaves the ring, as the referee regains his focus back on the match, as he sees Maven crawl over and pin Jeff Hardy to a three count victory.
Now that the Morticians have won the match, they've earnt the Undertaker a title shot against Jeff Hardys' RBW Championship at Backlash, as the Undertaker enters the ring, and holds the RBW Championship over a broken Jeff Hardy, as the last image before the show closes.
