So if anyone is familiar with YouTube basketball channels, you know BruceBlitzed.
He is a die hard Jordan fan, and so am I, but he made a video yesterday that really got to me.
Here it is.
Now, I don't think it's fair at all to compare anyone to Michael Jordan. Why? Because if someone is considered universally as the greatest player ever, no one will have a valid comparison to them. It's an unwinnable battle. So, I commented back and forth with some guys on the video. Keep in mind I never will say LeBron is better than Jordan, because I don't think anyone will be.
So we started talking stats. Most guys started saying how Jordan wouldn't have done this or that, while LeBron sucks cause he's lost twice in the Finals.
So, I made some points about how the argument is flawed.
LeBron has 4 league MVP's. 1 Finals MVP. 4 NBA Finals Appearances. 2 All-Star MVP's
and I posted this for pure statistical analysis.
Now towards the end of Bruce's rant, he pulls out a red Jordan jersey that is a clear fake, and maybe I shouldn't have called him on it, but the fact that he kept trying to front with it bothered me, and so I called him out saying it was a fake.
I get an email today saying someone replied to my comment.
As I try to comment back, I see that the owner of the video has blocked me from commenting on his page.
He also leaves some comments saying he couldn't believe how many fake fans didn't know their stats.
All of my arguments were based upon stats.
Sorry for the long read, but it always makes me mad when someone goes on a rant, gets some criticism, then just blocks it.

LeBron gets my respect too, but Jordan was the man like him or not. He paved the way for Kobe and LeBron to be great. LeBron vs. Jordan would be an excellent fantasy matchup!

Have you seen his wrestling videos? Pure ridiculousness. I've been blocked by him for calling him an idiot dicksnot.

Jordan...
- 6x NBA Champ - 6x Finals MVP - 5x League MVP (like Charles Barkly said MJ would have won it every year had they given it to the best player in the league like they do today) - 14x All-Star (3x MVP) - 10x scoring champ - Defensive Player of the Year - ROY - 3x Steals Champ - 10x all NBA first team - 9x all nba defensive team
I'd also like to add that Jordan is the only person to win the MVP, defensive player of the year, and scoring title in the same season (1988).
Its stupid to compare Lebron to MJ because they are two different players that played in two different time periods. Lebron players in an era where players are more athletic but much more RAW and lack skills. He also players in an era where the league has made defense a forgotten art because of the ruls implemented after Jordan left (defensive 3-second, clear path fouls, etc...). Not trying to take away from LBJ but its a fact that has affected the whole league.
They also played two different styles. Lebron is basically a point forward and if he is going to be compared to anyone, compare him to Magic and Pippen. Those three played a very similar game in that they could play any position on the floor, run the offense or play off the ball, and long/lanky defenders who were athletic enough to challenge anyone. Jordan was a pure guard who could kill on both sides of the ball.
I don't see why people constantly want to compare these two. Hell throw Kobe in there as well. All three played in different eras with different rules and play styles. Doesn't take any from any of them. If I had to chose one to build a team around I'd pick MJ but that's all opinion (he was the Stone-Cold Killer).
