It's been 3 years since Mattel started with the WWE line. I've managed to get all the 1/1000 belt figures and decided about a year ago to open most of them and display loose.
Has anyone else opened their 1/1000s and kept the belts? Have you noticed any fading, staining or general wear on the metal parts of the belt?
Just wondering because I have all the belts stored away in a sealed ziploc bag and don't want to open them a year from now to display then see the metal worn down, dull or "stained"

I opened my doubles of HBK from Series 4 and The Hurricane from Series 5 and haven't noticed any discoloration or anything.
Plus, I think I took enough precautions anyways by placing them on a shelf in a dark corner of my room to avoid direct sunlight.

I till have the Kane you sold me Chip! Plus the CM Punk I got fro free from a Ringside contest. I only have the Series 3 Jericho Open, The belt is ok, but they could have made them a little smaller.

Makes sense. I believe that is the material they use for comic book bags.

I wanted to keep them all MOC to be honest, but I had them displayed on my wall and it was soooooo much space. Then to store them, same thing. I realized that it was just not gonna work for me.
I kept a few select ones MOC (All of Series 1, my CM Punk, and others that just looked cool in the package) but I think eventually when I can change up my display they will look cool together on stands w/the belts.
