I saw the Power Slammers for the first time last night. IMO, the look awful. They are huge & cartoony. They only way they "wrestle" is if you do it just the way the packaging dictates. I can't imagine this will stay interesting to kids for very long. I predict that this line will be shelf warming hard by the end of 2013.

I think we were kind of aware of this since stores stopped carrying flex force and started carrying these in their place... They're not only the new FF in terms of appeal but also literally.

They do indeed suck! My local Walmart put out six full pegs of them about a month ago and I don't think they've sold one yet (all 6 pegs are still full). I can totally see these things being put on clearance and the line cancelled by the end of the year.

Yeah, I just don't think these are going to make it long at retail.

More shelf clogging garbage that I'm sure we'll hear "sells way better than Elites, Flashbacks" etc, etc. Even though it'll always be on clearance of stuffed on the shelves in the Elite spots.

They're pretty crappy looking and at $13 dollars a pop they won't sell well. My local Wal-mart is pretty much looking the same way everyone else is describing theirs.
I'm not going to be the idiot who says that they should kill this line and put the money in the Elite line, but I do wish they'd stop throwing good money after bad. I personally wish those M.U.S.C.L.E. style figures had been made instead. I could almost see those selling well. Not sure, but it's gotta be better than this crap.

The figures are horrible and a waste of money investment.

They only way they "wrestle" is if you do it just the way the packaging dictates. That sucks. I expected these mass-retail $12 toys to be intricate mini-robots that could put on a five star match by themselves.

More shelf clogging garbage that I'm sure we'll hear "sells way better than Elites, Flashbacks" etc, etc. Even though it'll always be on clearance of stuffed on the shelves in the Elite spots. Guess what if the retailers are ordering these instead of Elites and Basics...then they will be considered better sellers like Flexforce. People here don't seem to understand Mattel bases THEIR sales (and the success of a line) on what the RETAILERS order the most of. If retailers order 50,000 units of these and only 20,000 of Elites or basics then THESE will be the top seller in Mattel's eyes. It doesn't matter to Mattel if the retailers don't sell a single one of these. The bottom line is they will still be considered the top seller because they are what Mattel sold the most of to the retailers. That is why FF was considered by Mattel their most successful WWE line.

What I find hilarious is that food tray they call a ring. How they can charge $10+ for that thing boggles my mind.

Just saw them the other day for the first time. They are terrible.
It looks like they'd be fun for 3 seconds though, that's a plus.

The day these hit the clearance section, I am buying them. Just not paying $13 a piece for them.

Atleast you could use heads from ff. Power slammers are pathetic.

These are ALREADY shelfwarming. They've taken the place of flexforce in everyway possible. Except with these, the kids aren't even giving them a chance they're already letting them rot on the shelves. I'm not sure what mattels thought process is but why not use that money to expand the elite or basic line, you know, the ones that actually sell..
