You've finally found a figure or two that you've been hunting for weeks or even months & the cashier starts man handling the perfect carded figs & throws the figs in the bag as if the perfect carded figure was a F'ing foot ball?!!! I'm like "Hey Now!......gentle lady....gentle.....!"
Lol
Am I the only one this happens to? Now a days I just try to bag it myself but sometimes I'm not fast enough and they just love slammin those figs in bags.......

I used to worry about that when i collected Jakks CS b/c the way the carding was sometimes they would grab the prong part and i would cringe.

I collect loose so this wouldn't bother me, but it has been done to me enough times where I would have been pissed if I was a MOC collector.
On the other side of that coin, I have had the cashiers stop and stare at figs, or make goofy comments on them. Then after that they always hand me my bills, coins, and receipt all at once so now I have to take an extra minute to finagle with my wallet and get my sh*t straightened out

Oh yes. I had a lady @ Target do it with my E16 Nash that I finally found. I asked her to NOT throw around the figures because i am a collector and she just looked at me like I was telling her to not breath my air and proceeded to literally throw it in the bag...
My wife got pretty heated because she KNEW how bad I wanted Nash. She proceeded to march over to customer service and complain...they gave us $20 worth of "Target apology bucks" which I turned around and picked up an E15 Yoko with...
Some people just dont get it...

Not really but I do collect some Hot Wheels cars MOC and I found a Treasure Hunt car which are very rare in CVS once and the lady was holding the card wrong and was slightly bending it but she didn't damage it

Yeah, I hate when they hand me the receipt with my cash and coins. Just throw the receipt in the bag and hand me my money separately. And especially now with these receipts that are two feet long b/c they have coupons or deals for junk I don't buy on them. The handling of the cards can be a big issue with me. I am mostly a MOC collector with other things but I open most of my WWE figures. With Elites it wasn't as big of a problem but with Basics, especially the bigger carded ones, this happened a lot. Luckily, I never had anything messed up too bad, but occasionally there would be that corner ding or card crease.

Great thread! This happens to me all the time but now in my area, major stores aren't allowed to give out plastic bags anymore so now I just bring my own bag and once they scan it, they give it back so very minimal chance of wrecking ish up.

I don't know how that hasn't happened to me yet. The only time it would have made me mad is if they had messed up the E16 Diesel & E16 Slater I found at Kmart.

Didnt happen with WWE, but a Marvel Universe Jhook got caught in the conveyor belt, and the cashier just ripped it out without stopping the belt, tearing the Jhook right off. I told him that I did not want it anymore and walked away.

Never cared. As long as I got myself the best painted figure on the pegs I didn't/don't care about the carding, because 9 times out of 10 it was going to be opened before leaving the parking lot.

This is s great thread. Funny but true stuff. I'm a loose collector but countless times I've thought "thank God I'm not a MOC collector as you tomahawk my figure into the bag like Dwight Howard." When I bought the Punk/Savage BP at WM the lady decided to explain to me why she hated punk and that he was far from the best ever. So that was pretty cool.

I agree. The box is of no concern to me. The figure with the best paint job is all that matters to me, and I also open my figures in the car in the parking lot outside the store.

Happened to me the first time I found the Bella Twins at KMart and the first time I scored the E18 Lawler and Brodus at TRU. I brought it up each time and each time the cashier had an attitude. Just annoying because they act is if the figures we buy don't matter and treat them in a way they find easier for them.
