I used to love Jakks but they constantly burnt their bridge with me. It became abundantly clear that they didn't care. Lack of effort was one thing. But showing a fully detail proto then releasing the figure with 70 of the detail missing is another. That's bait & switch.
Then I assumed when they got the TNA line they would have learned from their mistakes and yet the haven't. And at this point, the only way I would buy a figure off of them, is if they scrapped their whole philosophy and started from scratch.

I love Jakks and collected for years, but in my opinion, the quality of the figures has been upped on an overall level since Mattel taking over so I'm all for Mattel holding onto the license. Alot of the old nagging problems we used to have, Mattel has mostly eradicated.

The WWE switch to Mattel turned me from a casual collector into an obsessive collector of wrestling figures. I still buy a few of the TNA DI figures of my favorite wrestlers but I will never be a Jakks completist as long as they continue to ignore varying body types and proper scaling. I can deal with slightly less detailing if only the figures scaled well with each other. If they scaled with Mattel figs too that would guarantee my business.

The thing I love about Mattel is going to a store and seeing so many different looking figures of shapes and sizes. I look at Jakks figures now and think they are ugly and hate how big and awkward they look. Nearly everyone has thunder thighs. I now think going from Jakks to Mattel must feel like how they felt going from LJN to Hasbro. Even at that at least LJN has different shapes.
Jakks would really benifit by producing a style similar to Mattel. If I remember correctly WCW did a similar thing with their figures and then the ECW figures were made to the same scale. It makes sense to do something like this. I remember taking a holiday to florida and buying alot of WCW figures such as Goldberg/Kanyon/DDP/Raven/Buff Bagwell and Chris Benoit and all were in scale with the BCAs. It was great.

Jakks got lazy because they didn't need to put an effort. I mean, if you had a lawsuit with a company and they treated you unfairly and it's the last year you are making figures for them, would you still put out effort? especially if they signed with another company? NO! I certainly would say screw you!
I miss Jakks for the RA line and which that RI and LOTR was present to give fans at least the option. I know it's because they don't have much money but I mean, it's more money to produce DI than it is RA. I mean for the big guys like Morgan, Abyss etc. They could use the DI scale for them and guys like Kenny King, Kaz they could use a shorter leg mold. Personally unique body molds mean nothing. If the face is DEAD ON, I am all aboard for that figure. As far as heads go, Jakks was superior minus the screaming heads but you got to admit, the screaming head works for characters like Warrior. Closing what I wanted to say here, I would enjoy if the Jakks figures were like mattels but I'm just fine with RI because if Raven is 2 centimeters than Cena, who really cares?

It's actually a really great idea!
& a great way for Jakks to get BACK into the classic superstars line!
Legends could live on!.......well kinda
Mattel will always rock Jakks out for sure......... but still it would be a great way to get our classic WWF guys that wouldn't be made other wise in the same size

Didn't Mattel sort of copy Jakks already? Their basic figures are basically skinny RA figures and they're Elite figures are skinny DA figures.

What if Jakks copied Mattel......wouldn't they get sued by Mattel in the first place? Most likely
