Just sold a some single figures and was wondering what's the easiest way to ship a single figure? Are padded envelopes good?

Yup. Padded Yellow Bubble Envelopes work great. If you sold them on eBay and use the printing label service, a loose figure only runs for about $1.81!

some folks i've traded with have recieved empty macaroni & cheese boxes wrapped in whatever paper i have (usually inside-out wrapping paper or just a plain old piece of printer paper). usually stuffed with an old plastic shopping bag for safer shipping. it works real well. plus you get a lunch out of it.

I always do the padded envelope with a plastic bag wrapped around the figure. Haven't had any complaints.

I've wrapped figures in bubble wrap and then put it in a bubble mailer package. You can't trust the postal service with the way they throw packages around.

I've been doing quite a bit of eBay transactions lately and the cost us Canadians pay up here hurts the butt.
For a single loose figure in a padded envelope it's $7.61, if you want tracking then you have to purchase Expedited shipping which runs anywhere from $15 and up. Really stupid prices when I'm getting single figures from the states and those guys are paying $3.50 postage WITH US tracking provided.

Sounds like alot of work. sounds like more work than it is. plus, them bubble envelopes can cost more than boxed mac'n'cheese and don't come with anything edible. plus, for single figs, the standard macncheese boxes fit one stanard wrestling fig pretty perfectly. times are tough and i usually have all that stuff laying around the house anyways. it might take some time, sure, but it's less time than driving to the store, finding the envelopes, waiting in line etc. plus with the gas prices these days, well, you get my drift. i've never had any complaints from anyone so i'm assuming the goods all arrived safely to their destinations. |

bubble envelopes are the way to go. They're like under a $1 at lowes, walmart, etc. If you buy them in line at the post office I'm sure they're double.
I received a loose fig once shipped inside a kleenex box. Just wrapped packing tape all around it.

i always use bubble mailers....6x9 will work for up to 2 figures (or 3 rey mysterio mattels, lol)

I've been doing quite a bit of eBay transactions lately and the cost us Canadians pay up here hurts the butt. For a single loose figure in a padded envelope it's $7.61, if you want tracking then you have to purchase Expedited shipping which runs anywhere from $15 and up. Really stupid prices when I'm getting single figures from the states and those guys are paying $3.50 postage WITH US tracking provided. I ship figures to Canada all the time, including to you, and they usually run right around $3.50 like you said. They don't have tracking for that price though. First Class International doesn't include tracking. You have to send via Priority International or other higher priced options to get tracking, which costs $13 and up for one figure. Anyway, on the topic, I use size #1 bubble mailers, which I buy in bulk on eBay, and wrap the figure in bubble wrap. The weight is usually 5 oz. including the envelope and the shipping cost if you print it online is $1.98. |

The bubble envelopes that I use weigh 0.9 ounces, most figures are between 3.2-3.8 ounces, which makes it a 5 ounce package after rounding up. 5 ounces shipped First Class International costs $3.60 to Canada and $6.90 to most other countries. And 5 ounces costs $1.98 shipped First Class anywhere in the US. |

I can't remember exactly how I got the Ricardo, but I think it was in a standard manila padded envelope. (Even more off-topic) I've been trying to twist the legs and torso together like Chewdeezy suggested in another thread and the legs still aren't staying on - wonder if I just wrap one of those clear bands around the peg...

That's very strange. I just checked the USPS website and it takes 2 1/2 pounds before it costs $11 to ship to Canada. And there's no way that Ricardo should have weighed any more than 1/2 a pound, let alone 2 1/2 pounds. Unless he shipped it to you with a more expensive option than First Class International. |
